We have a solid big slate in the NBA today, with nine great matchups to pore over. And what better way to celebrate than by going for a big payday on Wednesday? That’s right; we’re back with another mega parlay, NBA edition.
We came so close to cashing the mega parlay at north of 19/1 on Tuesday, but the Thunder couldn’t hold on in the closing seconds. Now let’s finish the job on Wednesday! We’re going big and bold again, so let’s not waste any more time. But before we dive in, don’t forget to check out our free picks on the side and total for every NBA game today.
Orlando Magic ML (+198)
Dallas Mavericks ML (-134)
Cleveland Cavaliers ML (+180)
Parlay odds: +1357
Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.
Orlando Magic ML (+198) over Washington Wizards
Give me the lowly Magic to start off this mega parlay. It’s bold, I know. But I just don’t think the Wizards deserve to be this large of a favorite against just about anybody. And Orlando hasn’t been as bad recently as you might think. Four of the Magic’s past five losses have been by five points or fewer.
They just played this same Washington team in their most recent game and only lost by two, so there’s clearly not some sort of huge mismatch here. Just this past week they very nearly beat both the Bulls and the Celtics on the road. They have been getting close. This is also the second half of a back-to-back for the Wizards, so the Magic have a rest advantage. On Tuesday night, Washington just barely managed to squeak past the Thunder in a game that was tied with 30 seconds left.
Dallas Mavericks ML (-134) over New York Knicks
I have Dallas for the next leg of this parlay. The Mavericks are starting to really pick things up and I don’t think enough people have caught up yet. The Mavs have won six in a row, with five of those wins coming by at least 14 points. The other one was by nine points. They just beat the Bulls by 14 most recently, and have also clobbered teams like the Warriors and Nuggets during this stretch.
Perhaps most importantly, they beat up on Chicago in their last game despite Luka Doncic shooting just 8-of-23 from the field. It showed that they don’t need Doncic to have a huge scoring game to carry the team each night, which is a huge step. The Knicks, on the other hand, have been mediocre at best recently — they are 9-12 over the past month and a half or so. Julius Randle just isn’t the same guy he was last year.
Cleveland Cavaliers ML (+180) over Utah Jazz
To wrap up this mega parlay and hopefully bring us home, we have the Cavaliers. If you have read any of the mega parlays I’ve written this year, you probably know I’m high on this Cavs team. And they have been extremely profitable as money line underdogs. Looking at Cleveland’s recent schedule doesn’t really tell you the full story, since its roster was decimated by COVID and injuries for a bit.
Now Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen are back together again and they are catching the Jazz at the perfect time. Utah is really struggling at the moment, having lost three in a row. Embarrassingly, the losses came to the Raptors, Pacers, and Pistons — not exactly a murderer’s row. Without Rudy Gobert, I don’t see Utah being able to contain Cleveland’s bigs.
