The NBA is packing in games prior to the all-star break – which begins on Friday – and therefore we have an 11-game slate on Wednesday. It includes a doubleheader on ESPN, starting with Nets at Knicks in the battle of New York and then Jazz at Lakers. Among the other teams taking the court are the Celtics, Bulls, Grizzlies, Suns, Nuggets, and Warriors.
Let’s take a look at Wednesday’s three-team mega parlay.
Hawks -9.5 alternate spread (+145)
Nets ML (+155)
Trail Blazers +12 (-110)
Parlay odds: +1093
For this parlay we are going with two underdogs – one against the spread and one on the money line – and a favorite against an alternate spread. Let’s break down the three legs one by one.
Hawks -9.5 alternate spread over Magic (+145)
Atlanta halted a small losing streak with a nice win over Cleveland last night. Trae Young scored 41 points but just as critical were the 25 points from Danilo Gallinari. With John Collins out, Gallinari is going to get more playing time and the Hawks need him to be a secondary scorer. Atlanta has to flex some depth for a little while, which it had no problem doing last season and should be able to do again given that the roster is similar. Orlando has lost its last 3 games, all by double–digit margins. Rookie guard Jalen Suggs has been promising but the backcourt pairing with Cole Anthony hasn’t really worked. The Magic could be in for another double-digit loss, as the Hawks are one of the streakiest teams in the league and a win over a good Cleveland team could get them going again.

Nets ML over Knicks (+155)
The Nets finally snapped their 11-game losing streak on Sunday against the Kings without Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, or newly acquired Ben Simmons in the lineup. Brooklyn may have some new-found confidence after the trade deadline but will be without their stars again in this matchup. Seth Curry provided a scoring surge in his first game in a Nets uniform and should be there to pick up the slack. The visitors will need another big offensive output from Curry and Patty Mills, and they should be able to get it against a New York defense that has allowed 117 points per game over its last 10. The Knicks are 2-8 SU/ATS over their last 10 games and 3-12 SU in their last 15. Don’t be surprised if Brooklyn pulls off an outright upset.

Trail Blazers +12 over Grizzlies (-110)
Damian Lillard, Joe Ingles, Nassir Little, Keon Johnson, Didi Loudza, Dennis Smith Jr., and Eric Bledsoe are all out for the Portland Trail Blazers and yet this team has put together a 3-game winning streak. All 5 starters scored in double figures, led by Anfernee Simons’ 31 and Josh Hart’s 27, as the Blazers upset the defending champions Bucks 122-107 despite entering the game as +11.5 underdogs. Tonight they face a Memphis team they have already beaten twice this season. The last time they met was in mid-December and Portland won 105-100 on the road. Memphis is also on a roll with 6 wins in a row and 9 in its last 10 games, but Ja Morant was out last night and he may be sidelined again. Either way, Portland is playing good enough basketball to cover a massive spread.
