We have a huge slate in the NBA today, and there are plenty of opportunities for value. What better way to celebrate than by going for a big payday on Wednesday? That’s right; we’re back with another mega parlay, NBA edition. We’re going big and bold again, so let’s not waste any more time.
But before we dive in, don’t forget to check out our free picks on the side and total for every NBA game.
Cleveland Cavaliers -10.5 (-110)
Oklahoma City Thunder ML (+120)
Minnesota Timberwolves ML (+170)
Parlay odds: +1034
Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.
Cleveland Cavaliers -10.5 (-110) over Houston Rockets
To start this parlay we’ve got the Cavaliers. Nobody wants to play the Cavs right now. Cleveland is 8-2 in their last 10 games. Most importantly all 8 of those wins have come by at least 11 points, so I’m really not too worried about laying 8.5. What’s incredible about the Cavs’ 17-12 start is that they’ve played the most difficult schedule in the NBA and have also dealt with a ton of injuries. They could easily be much better than 17-12. The Rockets have also started to pick up some steam, but I’m skeptical that it’s legit.
They’re still just 9-18 on the year, and only went on their mini-run because they had a stretch in which they played all the league’s worst teams. Now they’ve come crashing down to earth, losing 2 of their last 3 . It should become 3 of 4 here. Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley are all playing at All-Star level, and Houston isn’t likely to slow them down.
Oklahoma City Thunder ML (+120) over New Orleans Pelicans
We’ve got our first money line ‘dog here for the second leg of this parlay with the Thunder. I don’t think the Pelicans should be a road favorite over just about anybody. New Orleans is just 8-21 on the year, and after briefly showing signs of life they’ve resumed stinking. The Pels have lost 3 of their last 4, with the only win in that span coming against the lowly Pistons. Most recently, they lost by 15 to a 10-16 Spurs team. Brandon Ingram is a 1-man offense without Zion Williamson out there, and Devonte’ Graham isn’t playing nearly well enough to justify his contract.
They don’t have nearly enough shooting, and relying on Jonas Valanciunas to be their second leading scorer isn’t a recipe for success. The Thunder have slumped recently, but they’ve lost a bunch of close games and have actually mostly taken care of business when they’ve played the league’s other worst teams. When these squads first met earlier this season OKC won by 8, and that game was in New Orleans.
Minnesota Timberwolves ML (+170) over Denver Nuggets
To wrap up this mega parlay and hopefully bring us home, we’ve got Minnesota. The Nuggets have won back-to-back games, but I’m not sure they’re all the way back. Those wins came against mediocre Wizards and Spurs teams, and right before that they were really struggling. Nikola Jokic is balling, but they don’t have too much else at the moment. The Timberwolves had been in a mini slump themselves where they lost 5 straight games, but snapped out of it with a road win their last time out.
They lost those games because it was a brutal week in the schedule, and right before that they had won 7 of 8. Denver needs incredible performances from Jokic night in and night out just to squeak past middling teams. That’s not a formula for much real success, and I can’t lay this large of a price with them.
