Another busy day in the NBA as we edge closer to the end of 2021. A total of 9 games are being played on a Wednesday and we’ve got another NBA TV double-header.

The action tips off at 8pm ET in Memphis as the Grizzlies welcome the Lakers to town. I landed a +1282 same game parlay on the Bulls vs Hawks game the other night, so why not try our luck on this game as well?

Be sure to also check our predictions on the side and total for the rest of Wednesday’s 9-game slate.

Let’s dive in!

Los Angeles Lakers ML (+160)

LeBron James over 2.5 made threes (-111)

Russell Westbrook to record 10+ assists (+300)

Parlay odds: +1328

Los Angeles Lakers ML (+160)

After last night’s win at Houston, I’m expecting the Lakers to go on a positive run to close the year. LeBron James started at center and notched the 102nd triple-double of his career, proving that the Lakers are capable of running with much younger teams. LA already beat Memphis 121-118 at home in a similar type of game earlier this season, and although the Lakers also lost to the Grizzlies 108-95 three weeks ago, I’m optimistic that LeBron and company can secure the victory. The Grizzlies have won 2 in a row, but they are 2-2 since Ja Morant came back and have shown weaknesses on the defensive end. The Lakers are 7-3 in the last 10 meetings head-to-head, plus they are 9-2 SU in their last 11 games vs Southwest Division teams.

LeBron James over 2.5 made threes (-111)

We’ve seen LeBron channel his inner Steph Curry quite a lot this season. Over his last 10 games he’s been very efficient from the field, connecting on almost 57% of his shots and on almost 36% from three-point land. He’s scored 3 threes in 2 games straight and is averaging 2.4 made during the month of December on 6.7 attempts. With the recent Covid outbreak, the rotation for the Lakers has gotten a lot shorter and the starters are taking a lot more shots than usual and LeBron is no exception to that. In one of the games played vs Memphis earlier this season he had 4 made threes; hopefully he can connect on 3 in this one.

Russell Westbrook to record 10+ assists (+300)

Russ joined LeBron with a triple-double of his own last night against his former team. He finished the game with 24 pts, 12 boards and 10 dimes. He did turn the ball over 7 times, which is a bit concerning, however we are almost used to seeing that from him on a regular basis. I do like his chances of going double-digit on the assists again tonight, mainly because he tends to do so against Memphis very often. He has gone 10+ assists in 3 of the last 4 games against them, including a 13 assist night in the earlier meeting this season played in LA. If the Lakers decide to start LeBron at center again and run with Memphis, Russ will get plenty of opportunities to feed shooters like Carmelo Anthony, Avery Bradley, and Malik Monk — which should hopefully result in a productive night on the assists.
