I'm an NFL handicapper here at Pickswise who was raised in a household full of sports fanatics. Since I unfortunately never had LeBron James' jumping ability I wasn't able to make it to the NBA, and chose writing about sports as the next best thing. An avid sports bettor myself, I'm excited to get to write about the industry as it gets set to take off across the country. Buckle up. We have a nice NBA slate on Wednesday, with plenty of opportunities for value. We’ve got a cross-conference showdown here between two teams that could really use a win in the Brooklyn Nets and Sacramento Kings. And what better way to celebrate than by betting a same game parlay? We’ve also got thoughts on the side and total for each of the day’s matchups, and we’ll have SGPs for all nationally televised games as well, which you can always find in our analysis section.

Let’s dive right in:

Brooklyn Nets -4 (-108)

Kyrie Irving to make 4+ threes (+270)

Under 231.5 (-108)

Parlay odds: +1209

We have a three-leg parlay here, one which pays out at north of 12/1 with FanDuel Sportsbook. Let’s break down each of the legs:

Brooklyn Nets -4 (-108)

To start off this same game parlay we have the Nets on the spread. Brooklyn hasn’t been playing their best recently, but I still can’t make any case for the Kings here. Sacramento has been arguably the worst team in the league recently, and they enter this one on a seven-game skid. They can’t blame the losing streak on a brutal schedule either, as home losses to the Pistons and Rockets are included in there.

There have been some truly ugly defeats lately, like when they lost by 53 to the Celtics last week. The team appears to have packed it in. On the other side, you can’t blame the Nets too much for losing to the Suns on the road last night. Phoenix might be the best team in the league, and it was a close game the entire way. The game before they barely lost on the road at Golden State despite James Harden sitting out. This has bounce back spot written all over it.

Kyrie Irving to make 4+ threes (+270)

This correlates nicely with the first leg of our same game parlay. If Irving is firing on all cylinders, it means Brooklyn’s offense is clicking. He’s only played in nine games since returning from his time away, so he should only continue to get better. And he’s connected on three triples in six of those nine games, so asking him to get to four here really isn’t that much. Especially against a porous and undisciplined Kings defense. With Kevin Durant out of the lineup Irving’s volume is consistently very high, and he’s taken at least 20 shots from the field in every game since Durant went down.

Under 231.5 (-108)

To wrap this same game parlay up and hopefully bring us home we’ve got the under. FanDuel is giving us a big odds boost by combining this with our first two legs, when I don’t think it conflicts much at all. This total of 231.5 is a lot of points, and Brooklyn isn’t going to send this one over by themselves. If they’re covering the spread, it likely means they were locked in on defense. And the Kings are averaging just 94 points per game over their last four contests.
