The NBA is approaching the home stretch and we’ve got a great slate on Wednesday with a whopping 12 games to pore over. And what better way to celebrate than by going for a big payday? That’s right; we’re back with another mega parlay, NBA edition. My colleague Ricky Dimon just hit the NBA mega parlay on Saturday, and then I came up a few points short of hitting it at 17/1 on Sunday.
Now let’s finish the job and do it again! We’re going big and bold again, so let’s not waste any more time. But before we dive in, don’t forget to check out our free picks on the side and total for every NBA game today.
Portland Trail Blazers ML (+520)
Los Angeles Clippers ML (+110)
Parlay odds: +1202
Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.
Portland Trail Blazers ML (+520) over New York Knicks
Should the Knicks be this large of a favorite against just about anybody? I don’t think so, which is why I’m taking Portland to start off this parlay. We don’t call it a mega parlay for nothing. The Trail Blazers have trimmed their roster down to its bones. Their rotation is now a random collection of castoffs. But some of these random guys are actually playing kind of well. Who needs Jusuf Nurkic when you have Drew Eubanks? Josh Hart is absolutely balling, and has 75 points over the team’s last two games.
The first of those was a 9-point win over Washington, and the second was a close road loss to the Hawks. Eubanks, Trendon Watford and Brandon Williams all dropped at least 16 against Atlanta. They had a 15-point lead in the second half against the Hawks and it was a two-point game with less than two minutes left. The Knicks are just 4-13 in their last 17 games, so I’m going to jump at the chance to get better than 5/1 to fade them.
Los Angeles Clippers ML (+110) over Toronto Raptors
Getting the Clippers as a home underdog is the perfect way to wrap up this mega parlay. It doesn’t get much scrappier than this Los Angeles team, and this is the kind of spot they excel in. Even when the roster has been decimated by injuries, Ty Lue always manages to pull a rabbit out of his hat. In the Clippers’ most recent game they rested Reggie Jackson and Marcus Morris, and still nearly beat the Cavs on the road before falling in overtime.
Let’s not give the Raptors too much credit for blowing out the Lakers on national TV. Your local YMCA rec league team could do that. Toronto has a couple of nice recent wins, but they also have recent home losses to the Pistons and Magic. Just the other night, the Raptors were a 4.5-point favorite over the Lakers. And now they’re a 2-point favorite here. Do any of us really think the Clippers are only 2.5 points better than the Lakers right now?
