The NBA has a small slate on Tuesday, with a couple of big nationally televised TNT showdowns. What better way to celebrate than by going for a big payday? That’s right; we’re back with another mega parlay, NBA edition. We’re going big and bold again, so let’s not waste any more time.
I wrote this mega parlay yesterday and didn’t cash. But the time before that I put together a mega parlay was on Thursday, and I cashed it at around 9/1. Let’s make it two out of three. But before we dive in, don’t forget to check out our free picks on the side and total for every NBA game.
Golden State Warriors ML (+130)
Utah Jazz -10 (-115)
San Antonio Spurs ML (+250)
Parlay odds: +1437
Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.
Golden State Warriors ML (+130) over Brooklyn Nets
To start this mega parlay off, I’m going with the Warriors on the money line. Golden State has started the season on fire, going 11-2 through its first 13 games. Both of the Dubs losses came by four points or fewer, so they aren’t far off from being undefeated. The Nets have won three in a row, but look at who they played. Those three wins came against the Thunder, Pelicans, and Magic. Not exactly a murderer’s row, to put it kindly.
The last time they played a team with a pulse was the Bulls in their game before this mini-streak started, and they lost by 23. James Harden has declined sharply and is averaging less than 20 points per game. Making matters worse for Brooklyn, Joe Harris just got ruled out for this one. Harris has started every game for the Nets this season and is playing more than 30 minutes a night, so it’s a big loss.
Utah Jazz -10 (-115) over Philadelphia 76ers
I don’t want any part of the 76ers until they get Joel Embiid back. Tobias Harris just returned, but that isn’t enough to make me interested. Tyrese Maxey is being relied upon to be a lead scorer right now. That’s not a recipe for going into Utah and competing with the Jazz. Philly has lost every game since Embiid went into COVID protocols, including most recently to a 6-9 Pacers team. Utah hasn’t played their sharpest recently, and they still have the third-best point differential in the entire NBA.
The 76ers always play worse on the road, while the Jazz have one of the best home-court advantages in the league. Philadelphia just won’t have enough offense to keep up here, and without Embiid to occupy Rudy Gobert and keep him busy, Gobert will be able to deny everything around the rim.
San Antonio Spurs ML (+250) over Los Angeles Clippers
To wrap up this mega parlay and hopefully bring us home, we have the Spurs. I continue to think this Clippers team is being overrated. The Clips recently went on a seven-game win streak, which was completely fraudulent. It was one of the easiest stretches any team will play this season. They beat the Timberwolves *three* times, the Thunder, Hornets, Blazers, and Heat (without Jimmy Butler).
When they finally had to play a real team in their most recent game, they lost to Chicago. Outside of that seven-game stretch, they are just 1-5 on the year. There’s no reason for them to be this large of a favorite. Not against a Spurs team that is better than most people realize. San Antonio has played a really tough schedule, losing a lot of close games to good teams. The Spurs are due for some regression.
