We have a nice NBA slate on Tuesday, with plenty of opportunities for value. One of the best games of the day is a cross-conference showdown between the Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns. Two championship contenders doing battle. And what better way to celebrate than by betting a same game parlay? We’ve also got thoughts on the side and total for each of the day’s matchups, and we’ll have SGPs for all nationally televised games as well, which you can always find in our analysis section.
Let’s dive right in:
Brooklyn Nets ML (+210)
James Harden to record 12+ assists (+300)
Parlay odds: +798
We have a two-leg parlay here, one which pays out at almost 8/1 with FanDuel Sportsbook. Let’s break down each of the legs:
Brooklyn Nets ML (+210)
To start off this same game parlay we have the Nets on the money line. Brooklyn is coming off back to back very close losses to the Nuggets and Warriors. In the Nuggets game they were without both James Harden and Kyrie Irving, and in the Warriors game they didn’t have Harden. Now Harden is returning from his brief absence and Irving will be in the lineup with this being a road game. It was pretty impressive that the Nets nearly beat Golden State on the road without Harden, and Irving dropped 32 in that one.
The Suns have been great, but I’m not sure they’re quite as good as their record suggests. They have had plenty of close calls recently, and just barely squeaked by the Spurs (+660) at home their last time out. If you look at their schedule, almost all of their recent wins have come against struggling or banged up teams.
James Harden to record 12+ assists (+300)
To wrap up this same game parlay we have Harden’s assists. The last time Harden played in a game with Irving was last week against Minnesota, and he finished with 13 assists. His assist numbers were down a bit at the beginning of the year but he averaged right around 11 per game in December and January, so getting 3/1 here for him to get 12 seems like a steal. Plenty of those December and January games were played with Kevin Durant in the lineup, and Harden’s usage is even higher with KD sidelined. This also correlates nicely with the first leg of our same game parlay, since Harden is averaging 1.3 assists more per game in wins than in losses this year.
