We are continuing the NBA week with a small 4-game schedule, capped off by a showdown between the Suns and Pelicans on NBA TV. The Grizzlies, Nets, and Heat are also in action. Miami is part of this particular play.
Let’s take a look at today’s two-team mega parlay.
Pacers ML (+220)
Heat -19.5 (+185)
Parlay odds: +844
For this parlay we are going with one underdog straight up and one favorite on an alternate spread. Let’s break down each of the two legs one by one.
Pacers ML over Grizzlies (+220)
The Indiana Pacers have been competitive over their last 10 games, winning 4 games in the process. Of the 6 losses, 4 have come by margin of 5 points or fewer. The Pacers have a decent 15-19 record at home this season and should be able to stay competitive against the Memphis Grizzlies tonight. The visitors tonight have been playing poorly on the road recently with 2 wins from their last 5 games. During that stretch they suffered losses to the Houston Rockets, Boston Celtics, and Minnesota Timberwolves.
Most importanly, Ja Morant is also doubtful for the Grizzlies tonight with a sore back. If he cannot play, the Pacers will have an advantage in the backcourt. Over the last 10 games the Grizzlies are just 20th in net offensive and defensive rating when factoring in just road games. Matchup wise they could struggle to take advantage of the lack of size on the Pacers interior. Steven Adams certainly has the size to be a problem for the hosts, but his offensive skill-set is not one that could do too much damage against them. Over that same stretch the home team is 11th in offensive rating. With Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield in their backcourt likely playing big minutes, they should have no trouble getting this offense to click. They are 10th in assists over the last 10 games. Don’t be shocked by an outright upset.

Heat -19.5 over Pistons (+185)
Detroit owns the 3rd-worst record in the entire NBA at 18-50, but has been playing better basketball of late – winning 5 of 10 contests since the all-star break. Miami currently possesses the top seed in the Eastern Conference playoff picture as the regular season enters the homestretch. Ahead of tipoff, the Pistons have ruled out Hamidou Diallo and Frank Jackson. Diallo is averaging only 15.5 minutes per game during the month of March, and is consequently not a tremendous loss for this group. Similarly, Jackson has played only one game since February 11th.
Alhough Miami has been notoriously unreliable when it comes to reporting injuries this year, none of Kyle Lowry, Jimmy Butler, or Bam Adebayo have an injury designation as of this writing. In 10 games since the all-star break, Detroit has only been outscored by 2.4 points per 100 possessions. Miami is 11-2 overall in their last 13 games with Jimmy Butler on the court, winning 8 times by at least 13 points in that stretch. The Pistons have shown improvements, but this is still a matchup between two teams at opposite ends of the standings. The Heat have enough firepower to win this one by 20.
