The Lakers and Clippers square off for the 2nd time this season tonight, tipping off at 10:00 pm ET. Just like with the earlier game of the NBA on TNT doubleheader between the Suns and Hawks, I’ve prepared a same-game parlay for the Battle of LA.
Continue reading to see it below, but also check our predictions on the side and total for the rest of Thursday’s 6-game slate!
Let’s jump into it.
Los Angeles Lakers 1-10 win margin (+230)
Anthony Davis to score 35+ points (+420)
Reggie Jackson to record 4+ assists (-148)
Parlay odds: +2093
Los Angeles Lakers 1-10 win margin (+230)
Winning at home against the Blazers last night was a big boost to the Lakers’ confidence as they continue life without LeBron James, who is out with a left knee injury. It was their 1st win in the last 4 games without LeBron. Anthony Davis led the way with 30 points and Carmelo Anthony had a huge night off the bench with 24 and 5 3-pointers made. Going up against a shorthanded Clippers side will be a welcome sign as the other LA team is only 1-7 SU in their last 8 games against Western Conference teams. This isn’t your typical road game for the Lakers as they’ll be playing in their own building, so I wouldn’t pay too much attention to their road record for this game. What matters is they have Davis and Russell Westbrook fully healthy and that should be enough to get one over their cross-town rivals.

Anthony Davis to score 35+ points (+420)
One thing Davis and the Lakers have going for them is the absence of Clippers center Ivica Zubac, which should speed up the game significantly. In 2 of their last 3 games the Clippers have allowed 122 and 121 points, I expect AD to dominate on the inside as he has already had a 27-point and 10-rebound game against LA earlier this season. When it comes to defending the paint, the Clippers are among the worst teams in the league, ranking 27th and allowing 49.7 points per game on the inside. In their last 3 games that number has gone up to 52 and in their last game against the Pacers they gave up 68, which is the perfect scenario for AD.
Reggie Jackson to record 4+ assists (-148)
Reggie Jackson has improved his play a lot over the last 10 games, even though he is averaging just 27 minutes per game, he is giving them 17.2 points and 4.7 assists per game. He has notched 5 assists in his last 2 games against Charlotte and Indiana, and against the Lakers in the earlier meeting this season he had 8 of them. He should have his way against Russell Westbrook. We’ve all seen the videos of Russ taking possessions off on defense this season, and Jackson can take advantage of that. The Lakers also rank only 28th when it comes to opponent assists per game, allowing 25.8. Over their last 3 games that number is up to 26.3, so that’s another thing working in our favour.
