Neither team has impressed lately, but the Brooklyn Nets have looked like the worst team in the NBA over their last 9 games. They are on a 6-game losing streak on the road, so having Kyrie Irving has had very little impact on their success. In their last 5 games, they’ve failed to cover the spread and against the Wizards they have just 2 wins in their last 11 visits to Capital One Arena. Washington will be missing Bradley Beal, but with a positive head-to-head record and a 13-10 SU record as home favorites this season they should have enough to beat the struggling Nets by a comfortable margin.

Kyle Kuzma over 19.5 points (-105)
Kuzma has scored over 19.5 points in 3 of his last 5 games and in his last 10 games he is shooting 46.4% from the field and 40% from 3-point land. Against a Nets defense that has allowed 125 points per game over their last 3 contests, he should have a productive night. Kevin Durant isn’t playing, so that’s one elite defender less to worry about. The Nets are also very thin on the inside with LaMarcus Aldridge, Paul Millsap and Nic Claxton all missing this game. Over their last 3 games, they are giving up an NBA-high 61.3 points per game inside the paint. Kuzma isn’t afraid of attacking the basket and if he decides to do that tonight then he should comfortably finish with 20 points.
Kyrie Irving over 26.5 points (-120)
It’ll be up to Kyrie to carry the offense once again as Kevin Durant continues to miss games with a knee injury and James Harden also sits out as the trade rumors increase towards the deadline. Irving has struggled a bit over the past 2 games attempting just 12 and 9 shots, in the 3 games prior to that he put up 19, 19 and 17 while scoring 24 or more points in all 3 of them. He has been very productive in games against the Wizards, scoring 30, 28, 26 and 30 in his last 4 against them. If both teams start off this game with a fast pace, I wouldn’t be surprised if Kyrie finished with 30+ points.
Spencer Dinwiddie over 4.5 rebounds (+110)
Dinwiddie has struggled to score the ball lately, but he has compensated with increasing his production in other areas of the game and one of those has been rebounding. Over his last 10 games, he is averaging 5.1 rebounds which is an increase compared to his season average of 4.7 per game. In his last 8 games, he has gone over 4.5 rebounds a total of 6 times, which is really encouraging for tonight’s matchup. Brooklyn’s rebounding has suffered over the past 3 games and they are allowing opponents 59.3 boards per game, which is the 3rd-worst mark in the entire NBA during that stretch. With Washington ranking 21st and Brooklyn only 11th in offensive efficiency, there will likely be a lot of missed shots tonight so hopefully Dinwiddie can continue crashing the boards at a solid rate for us.
