The teams that will be playing in this season’s NBA playoffs and play-in games have been decided. What is still up for grabs, however, is better positions in the conference standings. Tonight’s NBA slate should give us a clearer indication on where teams will finish and see who is potentially playing who in the first round.

Memphis Grizzlies ML +184
The Memphis Grizzlies will be visiting the Denver Nuggets looking to complete a series sweep. They lead the series 3-0 and have been playing well, despite being without Ja Morant in recent games. They have won 8 of their last 10 games, and while they lost their last game against a motivated Utah Jazz team, they only fell in overtime. Their opponents tonight are a Denver Nuggets team who have won 5 of their last 10 games. With a 22-17 record at home, the hosts have not been as dominant in Denver as they have been in previous years.
Nikola Jokic is undoubtedly a handful for any NBA team but the Grizzlies are able to deploy Steven Adams against him. The Grizzlies center is one of the strongest players in the league and should be able to keep Jokic from dominating in the low post. The visitors have the best defensive rating over the last 10 games and if they can limit the reigning MVP, they should be in a good position to complete the sweep.
Los Angeles Lakers ML +640
The Golden State Warriors have been struggling offensively, ranking just 28th in the NBA in offensive rating over the last 10 games. That should leave the door open for the Los Angeles Lakers, who are capable of keeping this one close. A lot will depend on the availability of Russell Westbrook, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, who are all listed as day-to-day. With a lot of the talk around the team being negative lately due to them missing the playoffs, I anticipate the team will try to end the season on a positive note.
The Warriors are playoff-bound and it is tough to see them pushing hard and risking injuries. While they are still battling to secure the 3rd seed they are still without Stephen Curry. Once he makes a comeback, the Warriors will likely fancy their chances against any team in the Western Conference, home-court advantage or not. With that in mind, the Lakers should be in with a shout of pulling off a win tonight, especially if any of their big 3 take the floor.
