NBA Sunday same game parlay: Phoenix Suns vs Los Angeles Lakers (+1066 odds)

Chris Paul Suns vs Lakers

We’ve got a double, doubleheader in the NBA today and I can’t be more excited. We’re tipping off early on ESPN with the Miami Heat battling the Boston Celtics at 1pm ET. The second they are done, we’re going to the City of Angels to watch the New York Knicks go after the Los Angeles Clippers. That’s when NBA TV takes over bringing us the New Orleans Pelicans and Charlotte Hornets at 7pm ET. The night cap and focus of this same game parlay will be the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers at 10pm ET. Epic days of gambling call for epic same game parlays. Here is what we have for the Suns/Lakers.

Suns vs Lakers Over 52.5 *1st Q (-112)

Over the past five games, the Los Angeles Lakers are dead last in the NBA in offensive rating in the first quarter. So why take them in an over in the first quarter? Because the number. 52.5 is ridiculously low in today’s NBA. Especially when the Phoenix Suns are involved since they have a top 6 offensive efficiency rating in that span. Both teams play at an elevated pace in the first quarter which is why this one should be in at least the mid-50s at the end of one. The Lakers just played a similar paced team in the Portland Trail Blazers and they combined for 56 points. That was with the Lakers only scoring 22 points.

Suns vs Lakers Under 215 (-110)

Just because the first quarter goes over, doesn’t mean the full game will. While the Suns have been playing fast in the first quarter, they have not been over the course of the game. If they were to get a lead, they may just sit on it. With the way the Lakers are playing offensively as of late, they are not a safe bet to hold up their end of the scoring for over bettors. Each of their last three games have gone under. This one is likely to follow suit. Having this under combined with the over in the first quarter also boosts the odds of this parlay.

Chris Paul Over 8.5 assists (-135)

One thing Chris Paul could always do is pass and that has not changed with his new uniform. He’s gone over this number in five of his last six games and seems to be an even more willing passer than ever. What’s remarkable is he has hit this number while playing minutes all over the map. Over the five game stretch, he’s recorded at least nine assists whether he’s played 20 minutes or as many as 35. He had 13 when these teams met in March and he looks to be inline to do it again tonight.

Devin Booker to score 20+ points (-420)

Booker is a gifted scorer and he has been on a tear as of late. The reason this number is so low is because he just had a 16-point outing. Bettors shouldn’t dwell on that as he went seven straight games before that with at least 20. That is including four straight games with at least 30 points. Chalk it up to Booker being tired or just off and look for his star to continue to rise tonight. He should get to 20 rather easily as he had 26 against them in March.
