Boston Celtics -7.5 Point Spread (-110)
Celtics have won nine of their last 12 games. They’ve owned the Hornets in head-to-head meetings winning 13 of the last 15 and covering in six of the last seven. Hornets will once again be without their two key players LaMelo Ball and Gordon Hayward. They are only 2-6 in their last eight games though and have covered just once in their last six while playing on one day of rest. The first meeting of the season between these two was played 20 days ago and it wasn’t close, Boston came out on top by 30 points at home.
Terry Rozier Over 3.5 Made Threes (+144)
Rozier is averaging a career high in points per game this season at 20.6. Over the last month or so he has been the primary offensive threat with Ball and Hayward being out. His percentage has improved by three percent over his last 10 games. For the month of April he is averaging three shots made per game from deep while attempting 8.9 of them on 33.6 percent. He has upped that to 3.3 makes per game over his last six, going Over 3.5 in three of those games including a night where he scored seven against Portland.
Jayson Tatum Over 24.5 Points (-116)
After a couple of sub-par games where he scored 14 and 15 points against the Bulls and Suns, Tatum is back on track again with another 38 point performance against the Nets. Over his last 10 games he has gone over 24.5 points six times and is averaging 28.3 points per game while shooting 46 percent from the floor. He also averages more points on the road than at home while taking a higher volume of shots. Both Kemba Walker and Jaylen Brown could potentially miss this game, so expect Boston’s offense to once again go through Tatum.
Marcus Smart Over 4.5 Rebounds (+140)
There is really good value in this bet as Smart has been a rebounding machine for the Celtics recently. Over his last four games he’s averaging 6.8 rebounds and has gone over 4.5 in all four games. If we expand that to his last seven games he is still averaging 5.9 rebounds. There’s also a chance that Brown is unable to go here and that means extra minutes for Smart and extra rebounding opportunities as Brown averages 5.8 per game. Since the All-Star break he has upped his rebounding by 1.2 per game and he also averages more rebounds on the road than in home games.
