Sunday’s NBA action begins at Madison Square Garden, where the New York Knicks welcome the defending champions Milwaukee Bucks to town! It’s an early start at noon ET, and you can also check our predictions on the side and total for the rest of today’s 6-game slate.
Let’s dive in!
Bobby Portis over 1.5 made threes (-128)
Giannis Antetokounmpo to score 35+ points (+510)
Jrue Holiday over 6.5 assists (+112)
Parlay odds: +1954
Bobby Portis over 1.5 made threes (-128)
Bobby Portis showed great consistency for the Bucks when he was needed the most earlier in the season when Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton being out with injuries. He is 4th on the team in scoring right now and his production hasn’t gone down since the stars came back. He is still playing around 30 minutes per game and is averaging around 12-13 shots. He has scored 2 or more threes in 3 of his last 4 games and against the Rockets he drained 3 of 7. With the Knicks focusing on Giannis and Middleton most of the time, I think role players will be the key for the Bucks in this one. Portis should have plenty of opportunities and he has to make just 2 of them.

Giannis Antetokounmpo to score 35+ points (+510)
Giannis is coming off a monster performance against the Houston Rockets in which he scored 41 points on 78% shooting, he also had 17 rebounds in that game, leading the Bucks to a 9-point win. It was the 2nd time in his last 4 games that he had scored 40 or more points, which makes me optimistic he can reach at least 35 tonight. The Knicks defense has been pretty bad recently, during their last 6 games they have only the 23rd-best defensive efficiency in the NBA, allowing 115.3 points per 100 possessions. Giannis has had some big games against New York in the past and there’s no bigger stage than MSG to put up some huge numbers.
Jrue Holiday over 6.5 assists (+112)
Holiday’s assists have been rising in his last 10 games as he’s averaged 6.6 per game during that stretch compared to the 6.1 that he normally averages in a season. Interestingly enough, he averages more assists on the road than at home this season, so that’s definitely a good sign heading into today’s game. So far in December he has gone over 6.5 assists 5 times in 6 games. The Knicks don’t really put a ton of pressure on opposing point guards this season, so Holiday should be able to get to his average here.
