Show Bio

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The Miami Heat will be looking to tie up the season series against the Toronto Raptors. A win for them here would help improve their grip on the top spot of the conference. The Raptors, on the other hand, have moved up to 5th in the Eastern Conference standings. In order to keep hold of that position, they need to win tonight.

You can find our full game previews here. Until then, check out my Heat and Raptors same game parlay below.

Pascal Siakam 10+ rebounds (+132)

Gary Trent Jr 25+ points (+500)

Parlay odds: +1437

Pascal Siakam 10+ rebounds (+132)

This will be the 4th time this season that Pascal Siakam takes on the Heat. In the previous 3 games he played an important part rebounding the ball, averaging 11 per game in the process. In those games he twice managed double-digit boards. He has in fine form rebounding the ball of late too, managing to hit this line in each of his last 3 games. Over the last 10 games the Raptors have the best defensive rating in the league, and they should be able to force enough misses to give the forward chances to rebound.

Matchup wise, going up against Bam Adebayo and P.J. Tucker represents favorable opponents for Siakam. Adebayo does not posses a 3-point shot that could force opponents to step out to the perimeter for. He can also struggle to score in the low post, which could allow the Raptors to go small with Siakam playing center. That would give him added rebounding responsibility, something on which he has shown he can deliver.

Gary Trent Jr 25+ points (+500)

Gary Trent Jr. of the Raptors has enjoyed playing against the Heat more than any other opponent. He is averaging more points per game against them than any opponent he has taken on more than once this season. In both games he played against the Heat he managed to record 33 points and could be set for a similar night.

He will be up against a combination of Max Strus and Duncan Robinson, with neither known for their defensive capabilities. In the case of Strus in particular, Trent Jr. will enjoy a size advantage and should have no issue getting his shot off against him. Guards have had success against the Heat recently as a result, with DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Jaylen Brown managing to score 25 or more points against them. Look for the Raptors guard to follow in their footsteps and have his 3rd big game against Miami this season.
