It’s the penultimate day of the NBA regular season. For some teams, a lot is on the line. For others, they are either already making offseason to times or locked into their playoff seeding. You could see a lot of different kinds of efforts this weekend. Prior to Sunday’s massive season-ending slate, we have a modest 4 games on Saturday. Still, that gives us more than enough to work with on the betting front.

Let’s take a look at today’s three-team mega parlay.

Clippers -11.5 (-110)

Pelicans ML (+200)

Warriors -9.5 alternate spread (+125)

Parlay odds: +1188

For this parlay we are going with two favorites against the spread – one on an alternate number – and one underdog on the money line. Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.

Los Angeles Clippers -11.5 over Sacramento Kings (-110)

Neither of these teams has anything for which to play. The good news for the Clippers is that they are locked into their spot in the play-in tournament. On the other hand, the Kings are heading straight for the offseason. Look no further than their recent results to see that these teams are going in different directions. Los Angeles has won 3 in a row; Sacramento has dropped 2 straight by 19 and 14 points. This game probably won’t be competitive.

New Orleans Pelicans ML over Memphis Grizzlies (+200)

The main storyline here is the possible return of star point guard Ja Morant, who has been sidelined for 2 weeks with a knee injury. However, the Grizzlies have already locked in the #2 seed for the Western Conference playoffs and have nothing to play for in the final 2 games. Thus you would have to think they play it safe with their best player. The Pelicans, on the other hand, have to win at least one more game to clinch home-court advantage in the play-in tournament. This motivational edge for the Pelicans could be the decisive edge in this contest. Plus they have found their stride during the final weeks of the regular season, as they have won 4 of their past 5 games. The duo of CJ McCollum and Brandon Ingram has been dominant for New Orleans, giving them 2 consistent playmakers and scorers in what was a previously limited lineup. Don’t be surprised by an upset.

Golden State Warriors -9.5 alternate spread over San Antonio Spurs (+125)

This is a big game for the Warriors, who are trying to wrap up the #3 seed for the Western Conference playoffs. The pressure is on them to win with the Mavericks just a half-game back in 4th. Golden State has won 3 in a row and enters tonight’s game in a good spot following a 16-point victory over the Lakers. Klay Thompson isn’t playing tonight, but Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins are more than capable of stepping up and filling the void in Thompson’s absence. Poole has averaged almost 27 points per game over his last 10 and he had a 31-point game against the San Antonio earlier this season. There is no significance to tonight’s game from the Spurs’ standpoint. They are already locked into the 10th seed and will face the Pelicans in the play-in tournament. Dejounte Murray hasn’t played in the last 4 games and it’s hard to see any reason why the Spurs would send him out there tonight. This should be a big win for the Dubs.
