We’ve also got predictions on the side and total for the rest of Monday’s 12-game slate, but for now let’s focus on the Hornets and Knicks.
Gordon Hayward over 16.5 points (+172)
LaMelo Ball over 7.5 assists (+132)
Terry Rozier over 3.5 made threes (+230)
Parlay odds: +762
Gordon Hayward over 16.5 points (+172)
Gordon Hayward’s play in 2022 has been solid — he’s averaging 17.9 points per game and has 4 games of over 16.5 points already. In his last 2 games, against Orlando and Philadelphia, he had 18 and 30 points. His shooting splits so far in the new year are 53% from the field, 38% from downtown and 85% from the free-throw line. In the game against the Knicks earlier this season he dropped 22 points without making a 3-point shot and in the game prior to that he had 34 against them. In 19 career games against New York he’s averaging 17.9 points per game and almost 49% from the field. If the Hornets want to upset the Knicks at home, Hayward will have to be on top of his game.
Monday’s NBA mega parlay consists of 3 teams (+1031 odds!)
LaMelo Ball over 7.5 assists (+132)
LaMelo’s assist numbers have been very consistent lately. He has notched 8 of them in 3 of his last 4 games, and against the Pistons 10 days ago he had a 12-assist night. Against the Knicks this season he didn’t have the best of games shooting-wise, but he was able to collect 17 boards, 9 dimes and 5 steals. That’s been the theme in all 3 of his career games against New York. He’s shooting under 30% from the field in those games for some reason. That kind of activity on the boards and steals from your point guard is always a plus, so in case his shot isn’t falling there’s something else to fall back on. Charlotte ranks 2nd in points per game this season and Ball’s playmaking has been a big reason why. If they are to get one over the Knicks at MSG, getting at least 8 assists from their point-guard is a must.

Terry Rozier over 3.5 made threes (+230)
Rozier has really stepped up his game from the 3-point line in the new year. He’s shooting 40% while attempting more than 9 shots from deep per game. In the last game against Orlando he attempted 15 of them, prior to that he also had 2 games of 11 and 10 attempts against the Bucks. He’s gone over 3.5 makes in 5 of his last 6, which is a real confidence-booster for tonight’s game. New York is fairly mediocre when it comes to defending the 3-point line. Teams are averaging 34.6% makes against them this season, which ranks them only 14th in the NBA. Odds like this on a bet that has happened so frequently are just too good to pass up.
