The series between the Toronto Raptors and the Philadelphia 76ers tips off tonight and it seems bound to be a great one. It should be a classic matchup between star power and depth. The 76ers finished the season higher in the standings than their opponents, but they did end up losing the season series 3-1 against them. That should make for an exciting series between the sides.
You can find our full coverage of the NBA Playoffs here. But for now check out my same game parlay for the Raptors visit to take on the 76ers below.
Fred VanVleet over 18.5 points (-112)
Scottie Barnes over 0.5 made threes (-106)
Tyrese Maxey over 2.5 made threes (+150)
Parlay odds: +735
Fred VanVleet over 18.5 points (-112)
Fred VanVleet of the Raptors has only played one game this season against the Philadelphia 76ers and he did not hold back. He managed 32 points against them which helped set him on the way to scoring 20.3 points per game this season, a career best mark. VanVleet is also one of the players the Raptors trust most down the line, being 2nd in 4th quarter points among Raptors who have appeared in more than 10 games. With game 1 of the playoffs, I am expecting him to assume a larger role than usual. He has also averaged 22.6 points against Atlantic division opponents. Look for the Raptors point guard to come out assertive.

Scottie Barnes over 0.5 made threes (-106)
Of the regular Raptors starters this season, Scottie Barnes has the worst 3-point shooting percentage. The rookie has converted 30.1% of his attempts this season. As a result, I expect the 76ers to tailor their defense to make sure he is the one presented with the shooting opportunities. Barnes however is still capable of knocking down these shots. He made at least 1 3-pointer in 2 of his 3 games against the 76ers this season. He was also able to close out the regular season by making a perimeter shot in 5 of his last 6 games. Over the last 2 games against the hosts here he has attempted 8 total 3-pointers. If he gets 4 attempts off, I expect this to hit.
Tyrese Maxey over 2.5 made threes (+150)
Tyrese Maxey has been locked in from deep for the 76ers this season. The sophomore is making 42.7% of his attempts. He has been in particularly good form of late, making 54.3% of his 3-pointers in April. That includes making 4 of his 5 attempts against this very same Toronto Raptors team. He has hit the over on this line in 3 of the 6 games this month and with rotations shortening in the playoffs, I expect the opportunities to be there for him tonight. The size of Joel Embiid on the inside should help too. The Raptors do not have anyone that could slow him down by themselves and will likely need to send double-teams to force the ball out of his hands. That should open the door for perimeter players like Maxey to put together a strong performance.
