The weekend in the NBA begins with a 3 game night, and the biggest game of the night is in Cleveland as the Cavaliers host the Oklahoma City Thunder. You can catch that game live at 7.30 pm ET on NBA TV. Continue reading below to find my same-game parlay for tonight’s matchup.
Last night I was just 1 Nikola Vucevic assist away from landing a same-game parlay in the Bulls vs Bucks game, so hopefully we have a bit more luck on tonight’s bet!
We also got you covered with predictions on the side and total on the other 2 games, but let’s focus on the Thunder and Cavaliers for now.
Oklahoma City Thunder Money Line (+640)
Darius Garland Over 20.5 Points (-116)
Jarrett Allen to Record 10+ Rebounds (-260)
Parlay odds: +2413
Oklahoma City Thunder Money Line (+640)
Before you call me crazy for backing OKC to win, hear me out. The Cavs are just coming off a 13-point road loss at Chicago against a very shorthanded Bulls team which was without 2 starters. Rajon Rondo didn’t play in that game and it showed, and he’s questionable for tonight’s game as well. Cleveland is already without 2 point guards who are out for the season. Rondo was brought in to compensate for that, so whenever he is out they tend to struggle. Oklahoma City hasn’t been playing all that well in their last 2 games, but prior to that they lost 2 games to Dallas by 2 points and to Cleveland by 5 at home, so they weren’t exactly that bad against them. They also have a 21 point win over Brooklyn in their last 5 games, so this team is unpredictable and capable of beating anyone when it’s their night. They’ve got a 5-2 SU record in the last 7 meetings with the Cavs, and they’ve also covered the spread 13 times in their last 19 games overall.

Darius Garland Over 20.5 Points (-116)
Garland is just coming off a 20 point and 12 assist performance at Chicago, and he’s averaged 20.7 points per game over his last 9 outings on 44% shooting from the field. There are even talks of him making the All-Star game, that’s just how good he has been this season. Against the Thunder he scored 27 points in the previous meeting and had a whopping 18 assists on 55% shooting. If Rondo doesn’t play, I wouldn’t be surprised if he replicated that same performance in tonight’s game. In games at home he averages 21.8 points per game this season, which is another encouraging stat for our bet.
Jarrett Allen to Record 10+ Rebounds (-260)
And as an odds booster I’ve decided to add Jarrett Allen to the bet here. He has been consistently cleaning the boards for this Cavaliers team averaging 10.9 per game on the season, which is 8th best in the NBA. Over his last 10 games he has upped that to 11.6 per game, and against the Thunder earlier this season he finished with 13 of them. OKC ranks dead last in opponent rebounds this season allowing 56.6 per game, and in their previous 3 games they allowed 61.7 per game. In the loss at Charlotte they allowed 68 of them. Expect Allen to have his way on the interior tonight.
