Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The Golden State Warriors are rightfully one of the favorites to advance out of the Western Conference, but they will have a stern test in their first series. The Denver Nuggets lead the season series 3-1 against the Warriors and will enjoy a major advantage on the interior with Nikola Jokic. The hosts here have a far more potent perimeter attack which sets this up to be a great matchup of contrasting styles.

You can find our full coverage of the NBA playoffs here. But for now check out my same game parlay for the Nuggets visit to take on the Warriors below.

Nikola Jokic to record 16+ rebounds (+128)

Over 223 (-110)

Monte Morris to score 15+ points (+190)

Parlay odds: +1036

Nikola Jokic to record 16+ rebounds (+128)

I have already tipped Nikola Jokic to clear 14.5 rebounds in my best player prop picks of the day and I would not be surprised if he does so comfortably. After all, he has had 2 games against the Warriors this season in which he has managed 17 and 19 rebounds respectively. The Serbian has a size advantage over Warriors center and with his opponent unable to stretch the floor, Jokic will find himself in the paint throughout the night. If at any point Draymond Green switches on to Jokic, I expect him to have success on the offensive glass. In each of the last 3 postseasons Jokic has improved on his season average in rebounds and I expect that to be the case this year, too.

Over 223 (-110)

This is one of our best bets of the day and for goof reason. The Nuggets defense has struggled containing the Warriors this year, allowing them to score 116, 124 and 113 in their last 3 games. The hosts here certainly have the firepower to put together another strong showing tonight. On the season the Nuggets have been average at best defensively, ranking 15th in the league in defensive rating. On the other side of the ball the Warriors should struggle to cope with the size of Jokic. They are likely to send double teams his way but with the center being one of the best passers at his position of all time, it could help unlock the Nuggets offense here. Back the over as a result.

Monte Morris to score 15+ points (+190)

Another Nuggets player that has enjoyed a career year this season is Monte Morris. He has improved his per game averages of points, assists, and rebounds. The Warriors have also been one of his favorite opponents. Against them his points per game jump from 12.6 on the season to 16.7. With Jokic demanding so much attention on the interior it leaves a player like Morris to make the most of it through cuts to the basket. He is making 62.1% of his assisted field goals within 5 feet of the rim. With the Warriors lacking an established shot blocker, look for that to continue here. Couple that with him making close to 40% of his 3-point attempts and it should add up to another good scoring night for Morris.
