The NBA is approaching the home stretch and we’ve got a small but interesting slate on Saturday with 4 games to pore over. And what better way to celebrate than by going for a big payday? That’s right; we’re back with another mega parlay, NBA edition.
We’re going big and bold again, so let’s not waste any more time. But before we dive in, don’t forget to check out our free picks on the side and total for every NBA game today.
Dallas Mavericks ML (+108)
Cleveland Cavaliers -5.5 (-110)
Washington Wizards -9.5 alt spread (+220)
Parlay odds: +1170
Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.
Dallas Mavericks ML (+108) over Charlotte Hornets
To start this mega parlay off I have Luka Doncic and the Mavericks on the money line. Dallas is coming off a tough loss to the 76ers, but right before that they had beaten the Nets and Celtics on the road in back to back games. The Mavs have been a very good road team this year while the Hornets are exactly .500 at both home and on the road, so I don’t think there’s much of an advantage there.
Doncic shot just 5-for-20 from the field in the loss to Philly, so you know he’s going to be highly motivated to come out and put that behind him there. Right before that dud Doncic had been on fire, and he’s still averaging over 30 points per game in March. Look at the Hornets’ recent schedule. Almost all of their recent wins are against non-playoff teams. Pretty much every time they have been challenged against one of the league’s better teams, they’ve lost.
Cleveland Cavaliers -5.5 (-110) over Detroit Pistons
Give me the Cavs on the spread for the next leg of our parlay. Cleveland just picked up a huge comeback win over Denver their last time out, and I think they’ll be able to follow up on it here. Sure it’s a back to back, but it’s a home back to back so they didn’t have to travel last night. Cleveland has been really banged up, but they keep finding a way. It was a really impressive performance against the Nuggets.
Darius Garland, Evan Mobley and Lauri Markkanen all scored at least 25 points. Mobley is the clear Rookie of the Year, and Detroit has no answer for him down low. The Pistons picked up a win over the lowly Magic their last time out, but right before that they had lost four in a row. On the road, this young Pistons group will struggle against a physical Cavs defense.
Washington Wizards -9.5 alt spread (+220) over Los Angeles Lakers
To give us the odds boost to truly make this a mega parlay, we have the Wizards on an alt spread to wrap us up. Wouldn’t it be the most Lakers thing ever to finally pick up a rare win over the Raptors last night, and then get blown out here? Los Angeles went to overtime in Toronto last night, and then they had to fly through customs and get to DC for the second half of a back to back.
The Lakers’ elderly squad isn’t well-equipped for the second half of road back to backs after overtime thrillers. LeBron James is questionable with his knee issue here, so he might not even play. As we’re likely all well aware, a lot of the Lakers’ recent losses have been ugly. Right before their win over the Raptors they had lost three straight, all by at least 11 points.
