Tonight’s first game of the night will see a pair of teams with very different ambitions for this season square off. The Philadelphia 76ers have clear tittle aspirations, and will be hoping to pick up their first win of the season. The San Antonio Spurs on the other hand are going through a rebuild and have a clear focus towards the future.

James Harden to score 30+ points (+240)
James Harden has started the season in very fine form. He was able to score 35 points in the season opener which he followed by dropping 31 on the Milwaukee Bucks last time out. He will now get to go up against a San Antonio Spurs team that has been leaking points. Tonight’s visitors allowed the Charlotte Hornets to drop 129 points against them, while the Indiana Pacers managed 134. Neither of those teams has a player of Hardens offensive capability. In a fast paced game, the former MVP could thrive.In both of the 2 games the Spurs have played, the opponents primary ball handler led their team in scoring. Tyrese Haliburton managed 27 points while Terry Rozier scored 24 on the night. Reason being is that the Spurs starting point guard Tre Jones is not blessed with terrific size. Considering that Harden is one of the most physical guards in the league, he should be able to take advantage of Jones and continue his hot scoring streak.

Joel Embiid 14+ rebounds (+118)
The Spurs are also a favorable matchup for Joel Embiid. The center is averaging 13.5 rebounds per night this year, despite going up against teams with floor stretching big men in his opening 2 games. That is not going to be a problem tonight as he faces off against Jakob Poeltl. The Austrian in only a offensive threat inside the paint, which would allow Embiid to not stray far from the rim. This would leave him in prime position to collect rebounds tonight.
The Spurs were second in the league in field goal attempts per game last season. So far this year, they are getting close to that average as well. Considering the visitors are on the second night of a back-to-back, look for the 76ers to push the pace. With that comes more field goal attempts, leading to more rebounding opportunities for Embiid.
