The Golden State Warriors (27-6) will put the best record in the NBA – and a 3-game winning streak – to the test when they host the Denver Nuggets (16-16) on Tuesday night. Denver is a disappointing 7-12 in its last 19 contests since beginning the season 9-4. Let’s take a look at the best same game parlay option for Nuggets vs Warriors, and also be sure to check out our full game preview for picks on the side and total.
Warriors -9.5 alternate spread (+130)
Stephen Curry to score 40+ points (+580)
Parlay odds: +995
Part of the value in same game parlays, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is the entire plan here, as Stephen Curry going crazy would obviously work well with a big win for Golden State. Let’s break down each of the two legs one by one.
Warriors -9.5 alternate spread (+130)
The Warriors will be without Draymond Green, Damion Lee and Moses Moody due to health and safety protocols. But it shouldn’t matter. Andrew Wiggins has cleared protocols and is no longer listed on Golden State’s injury report; Jordan Poole and Andre Iguodala are also looking probable to play on Tuesday. Whatever the case, the Dubs are always led by NBA MVP frontrunner Stephen Curry. The former Davidson star is scoring 27.9 ppg to go along with 5.3 rpg, 5.9 apg, and a team-high 1.6 spg.
The visiting Nuggets are coming off of a 103-100 win over the Clippers this past Sunday, but they have not won back-to-back games since Dec. 11-13. Nikola Jokic recorded his 6th 20/20 game with 26 points and 22 rebounds in the win, surpassing Marcus Camby for the most in Nuggets franchise history. Although Jokic is great individually, as a team the Warriors are still the best in basketball. Golden State ranks 4th in offensive efficiency and 1st in defensive efficiency so far this season compared to 17th and 20th, respectively, for Denver. The Warriors may win this one with ease.

Stephen Curry to score 40+ points (+580)
There is a lot to like about backing Curry for a big game. One, it correlates perfectly with a double-digit victory for the home team. Two, he averaged 40 points in three games against Denver during the 2020-21 campaign, so asking him to reach the 40-mark in this one certainly isn’t too much. Getting it at +580 is a downright steal.
Curry drained 19 threes in three games against the Nuggets, shooting 50 percent from the land of plenty. In those three head-to-head contests last season, Golden State went 2-1 and its two victories came by an average of 15 points. It is also worth noting that he has scored at least 30 points in four straight games, including 46 against Memphis last Thursday. Assuming Curry is cooking again, he will likely lead his team to another double-digit win over Denver.
