We have an eight-game slate in the NBA on Sunday, and half of them are on national television. All four of those contests are getting the same game parlay treatment they deserve, and the quartet includes this showdown between the Sacramento Kings and Dallas Mavericks. Be sure to check out our full game preview for picks on the side and total, as well.
Mavericks -8.5 (-110)
Kristaps Porzingis Over 22.5 points (-104)
Luka Doncic Over 2.5 three-pointers made (-164)
De’Aaron Fox to score 30+ points (+118)
Parlay odds: +1114
Part of the value in same game parlays, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is some of the plan here, as productive performances by Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis would obviously go a long way toward Dallas winning and covering. At the same time, plays that aren’t correlated drive up the overall payout of the parlay. That is the case with picking De’Aaron Fox to go on a scoring binge. Even if Fox does, though, there is no reason why the Mavericks can’t take care of business.
Mavericks -8.5 (-110)
Before their nine-game losing streak, the Kings were 22-25 and right in the mix to battle for one of the play-in spots in the Western Conference. Now they are arguably one of the worst NBA teams and can’t seem to buy a win. Their latest loss came at Phoenix via a 122-114 decision on Thursday. Sacramento has covered only once in its last six games and is also 1-5 ATS in its last six against Western Conference opponents. The Mavericks are in decent enough form at the moment and they are basically injury free, which hasn’t been the case for most of the season. Two games separate them from Portland for the sixth position in the West, so they will eager to get on the winning track and stay there. With the Kings all but done for, Dallas should roll on Sunday.
Kristaps Porzingis Over 22.5 points (-104)
Porzingis has exceeded the 20-point mark in five straight games, having failed to do so in the three previous outings. The 7’3’’ Latvian has shot at least 50 percent from the field in four of the last five. There is little reason to think the Kings will have any answer for him—especially around the basket. In fact, Sacramento ranks dead last in points in the paint allowed per game (53.8).
Luka Doncic Over 2.5 three-pointers made (-164)
The Kings also struggle to defend the three-point line. They are third-to-last in opponents’ three-point shooting percentage this season. Doncic has not been completely on fire from deep of late, but he has attempted at least eight threes in 18 of the last 19 contests—so it is pretty obvious that he is going to have his opportunities. Against Sacramento, he should be able to capitalize.
De’Aaron Fox to score 30+ points (+118)
The Kings may be absolutely awful these days, but Fox has continued to play well even during the losing streak. He recorded 27 points and eight assists against Phoenix and has scored at least that many points in six of the last seven outings. The former Kentucky standout has exceeded the 30-point mark in four of the last six, including a 43-point barrage at New Orleans’ expense on Monday. Dallas has surrendered at least 113 points in four consecutive contests.
