Let’s get into it!
Philadelphia 76ers 1-10 win margin (+220)
Joel Embiid to score 30+ points (+235)
Parlay odds: +731
Philadelphia 76ers 1-10 win margin (+220)
The 76ers have won both games with Joel Embiid back in the lineup and they look like a different team. The three-ball has really let down the Miami Heat, who were the best three-point shooting team during the regular season. They are hitting just 29% of their attempts from beyond the arc and only 44% from the field. When Jimmy Butler scores 40 in a game and the Heat still lose, that’s a problem for them. Miami also has a problem defending the perimeter as Philadelphia is hitting over 41% of their threes in the series.
The Sixers have been winning the transition games as well and lead the series in fast-break points. I find it hard to believe Jimmy Butler can put up another 40-point performance in back-to-back games. If the Sixers are able to continue containing the Heat’s three-point shooting they’ll be in a really solid position here. Two of the last 3 games were decided by less than 10 points, and with so much at stake for Game 5 I think that’ll be the case tonight as well. The momentum is on Philly’s side and I think they get it done for the 3rd game in a row.

Joel Embiid to score 30+ points (+235)
Even though he’s missed 2 games in this series, Embiid still leads his team in scoring this postseason with an average of 24.9 points per game. His play is only getting better with time going on as he recovers from the orbital fracture suffered in Game 6 of the Raptors series. He’s coming off a 24-point performance at home in Game 4 and I believe it’s only a matter of time until he cracks the 30-point mark.
This Heat defense is really struggling to cope with him, playing on the road in Game 5 will be the biggest challenge of the postseason so far and Embiid will likely respond. Just yesterday we learned that Nikola Jokic beat Embiid to the MVP crown for this season and there’s no doubt in my mind that will serve as extra motivation for the Philly big man to have a huge game here and carry his team to their 3rd straight win in the series.
