Memphis Grizzlies -8.5 alternate spread (+200)
I am kind of surprised Memphis is still only a 3-point favorite after winning the last game by 9 points. In my previous SGP I backe the Grizz to win by at least 7 and I’m taking a similar approach with tonight’s game. I think moral is at a low point within the Timberwolves’ roster, losing multiple leads like that could damage the psyche of such a young team. Karl-Anthony Towns seems to be missing in action, this team looks nowhere near as good as the one that stole the series opener on the road. Memphis is starting to click on all cylinders offensively, even with Ja Morant struggling shooting the ball the Grizzlies are capable of winning games. They are just a much better all around team, have the better coach and way more is expected from them in these playoffs. I think they take Game 4 tonight in convincing fashion and close it out in the next game in front of their home fans.

Ja Morant to record 8+ assists (-200)
Morant is maturing in front of our eyes. With his team down big on two occasions in Game 3 and him struggling from the field, he once again turned to doing other things and was the difference maker for Memphis. He finished the game shooting just 5-for-18 from the field, but with a triple double of 16 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. If we include the regular season it was his 4th game in a with at least 8 assists, in the last 2 he finished in double-digits. The biggest advantage Memphis has over teams like Minnesota is its depth, and we saw that on display in Game 3. Having players like Desmond Bane who are capable of hitting 7 threes makes Morant’s life as a point guard so much easier. Expect everything to go through him on offense once again in Game 4 as he leads his Grizzlies to a 3-1 lead.

D’Angelo Russell to score 20+ points (+116)
After struggling in the first 2 games, Russell finally put together a solid performance with 22 points and 8 assists in the Game 3 loss. It took him 22 shots to get there, but that’s okay considering Karl-Anthony Towns once again shrunk at the biggest stage attempting just 4 field goals the entire game. With him disappearing in moments like these, Russell is expected to step up and carry the load as Anthony Edwards is just too young to carry that burden at this stage of his career. Russell impressed during the regular season vs Memphis averaging 31 points on over 55% shooting from the field and 46% from three. Scoring 20 shouldn’t be too big of a problem, especially if the Timberwolves pick up the pace a bit more compared to the previous game.
