We have a close matchup expected live on TNT tonight as the Celtics and Suns wrap up their regular-season series at TD Garden. This will be the 2nd time they’re playing each other in the past 5 days. Phoenix Suns ML over Boston Celtics (+188)
This will be Boston’s first home game since that 52-point win over the Golden State Warriors on March 3. Since then, they’ve gone 3-2 on a 5-game road trip, showing signs of weakness in a couple of those games. They also beat Phoenix 117-107 over the weekend but that game was a lot closer than the final score might indicate. Devin Booker did not play in that game and without him, Phoenix is only 6-8 this season. He returned to the lineup in the win over Cleveland.
Phoenix has been solid on the road this year, winning 17 of 30 games. I’m expecting them to go on a mini-run here as we get closer to the postseason. It’s also worth pointing out the Suns’ 11-5 ATS record in the last 16 meetings and that they’ve also covered in 9 of their last 12 visits to TD Garden. Eastern Conference teams have had a tough time against Phoenix, winning just 1 of the last 6 games. We’ve seen quite a few upsets in the NBA since the All-Star Weekend and the Suns have enough talent to pull one here.

Devin Booker to score 30+ points (+210)
Maybe I’m still being influenced after watching Booker’s interview on the JJ Redick podcast, but I really feel like he’s in for a big game here. The Suns will need a productive game from him to get a result here and I believe Book will be up for the challenge. He’s always excelled playing at TD Garden and in his last 10 visits he’s averaging 31.1 points per game. We also just saw Kevin Durant drop 45 on the Celtics’ defense in the game played between the 2 teams on Saturday, so it’s doable.
Jaylen Brown is bothered by a back injury as well and he should be the main assignment on defense for Booker here. In his first game back from injury, Booker scored 27 points on the Cavaliers the other day, despite going 1-for-7 from three-point land. His production will only improve moving forward as he gets accustomed to playing big minutes. Scoring 30 points and leading the Suns to an upset win would send out a clear message that the Suns are for real this season.
