The first month of 2022 draws to a close with an 8-game slate in the NBA tonight. Last Monday my +1262 same-game parlay landed on the Jazz vs Suns game and I’ve prepared another one for tonight’s Sacramento Kings vs New York Knicks matchup.
After you’re done checking it out, be sure to also go through our predictions on the side and total for the rest of Monday’s 8-game night.
Let’s get into it!
Sacramento Kings ML (+190)
Evan Fournier over 2.5 threes (-108)
RJ Barrett to score 25+ points (+200)
Mitchell Robinson 8+ rebounds (-215)
Parlay odds: +3247
Sacramento Kings ML (+190)
Neither of these teams has impressed lately — the Kings are on a 6-game losing streak while New York has lost 5 of 6 games. The advantage the Kings have here is their record in head-to-head meetings – they’ve beaten the Knicks 5 times in the last 7 games, including 2 of the last 3 games played at Madison Square Garden. New York has been far from convincing at home this season with a 12-14 SU/ATS record. Against Pacific Division teams they’ve also lost 13 of the last 19 games. Although the Kings are massive underdogs here, 3 of their last 5 games have been decided by 2, 6 and 2 points so if some things align here they could upset the Knicks. Madison Square Garden is the perfect place to end an 11-game road losing streak.

Evan Fournier over 2.5 threes (-108)
Fournier’s shooting percentage has gone way up in January compared to December. This month he is shooting almost 45% from deep, while in January that number was at a mediocre 32.7%. He’s also making 3.4 shots per game from beyond the arc while attempting 7.2 per game. He has gone over 2.5 made threes in 3 of his last 6 games and in the loss at Milwaukee on Saturday he drained 5 from 12 attempts. Fournier’s game is predicated around the three-point shot — he rarely goes for layups or dunks which is visible from his free-throw numbers. Sacramento isn’t too hot at defending the perimeter, they rank just 21st in the NBA, allowing opponents to shoot 35.7% on a nightly basis. In their last 3 games that number has jumped to 39.6%, which is an encouraging sign for a player like Fournier.
RJ Barrett to score 25+ points (+200)
Barrett has completely taken over the reins as the leading scorer for the Knicks in 2022. With Julius Randle struggling for quite some time now, Barrett’s average has gone up from 17.6 to 22.6 points per game in January and he’s also shooting 44% from the field and a remarkable 43% from three-point land. In his last 10 games he’s averaging 23.3 points per game and has scored 23 or more in 3 of his last 4 games. He has played the Kings 4 times in his career so far and has scored 20 or more points twice. I’m expecting a high scoring game here, if that’s the case then we should see an increase in production across the board and that includes Barrett as well.
Mitchell Robinson 8+ rebounds (-215)
With the uncertainty around Nerlens Noel for tonight’s game, the Knicks could once again be thin on the inside. Mitchell Robinson should be the solution to that problem, he has averaged 8.3 rebounds per game this season and in January that number is up to 8.8 per game. He has grabbed 8 or more boards in 3 of his last 4 games, including a 15 rebound night against the Pelicans 10 days ago. For the entire month of January he has grabbed 8 rebounds in 12 of 16 games played, so I am really liking this bet. Sacramento ranks in the bottom 10 when it comes to rebounding, they allow opponents to grab 54.9 boards per game, that number has increased to 56.3 per game over their last 3 outings.
