A total of 16 teams will hit the NBA hardwood on the final day of January and what better way to close out the month than with another same game parlay winner?
I’m focusing on the Miami Heat vs Boston Celtics game starting at 7:30 pm ET live on NBA TV. Last Monday I landed a +1262 same game parlay on the Jazz vs Suns game, so fingers crossed for the same result tonight!
Let’s get into it!
Boston Celtics -3.5 (-110)
Jayson Tatum to score 30+ points (+172)
Jaylen Brown to score 30+ points (+250)
Parlay odds: +1180
Boston Celtics -3.5 (-110)
There will be some tired legs out there on the Miami Heat roster as they are just coming off a grueling 3 OT game against the Toronto Raptors over the weekend. Jimmy Butler played 52 minutes and is questionable for tonight’s game with an ankle issue. Bam Adebayo, Gabe Vincent and Tyler Herro all played 45 minutes, so head coach Eric Spoelstra might resort to some reserves in order to keep the team fresh here. Boston has been playing well with 8 wins in 12 games. They are also 5-2 SU in their last 7 games played on a Monday and after blowing out the Kings by 53 points in their last home game, I think they are primed to get one over Miami. These 2 teams already met once this season and the Celtics came out on top 95-78 on the road in Miami.

Jayson Tatum to score 30+ points (+172)
Over his last 5 games, Tatum is averaging 34.4 points per game while taking a whopping 22.6 field-goal attempts per game. This stretch includes a 51-point explosion at Washington, but also a pair of 30+ point games against New Orleans and Sacramento. He’s shooting 55% from the field and 40% from three-point land in those 5 games and has gone over 3 points in 3 of them. In 3 of his last 4 games against Miami, he has scored 33, 29 and 27 points so I am really liking his chances tonight, especially since the Heat backcourt will be exhausted after their game against Toronto.
Jaylen Brown to score 30+ points (+250)
Just like Tatum, Brown has also been on fire lately and has scored 30 or more points in 2 of his last 3 games. He’s coming off a 31-point performance at New Orleans and over his last 10 he’s giving the Cs 24.5 points per game on almost 45% from the field and 35% from downtown. He’s gone over 30 points once in the last 5 meetings with Miami and that was a home game, which is a good sign ahead of tonight’s game.
With the news of Butler possibly sitting this one out with an ankle injury, I don’t see anyone else on the Heat roster that can stay in front of Brown for the full 48 minutes. Even if Butler plays, he won’t be at 100% so Brown will do some damage. Miami’s defense has allowed 114 and 124 points in consecutive games, and hopefully Brown can take advantage of this.
