We have a big slate in the NBA today, with a bunch of interesting games. And what better way to celebrate than by going for a big payday on Monday? That’s right; we’re back with another mega parlay, NBA edition.
I’ve hit a few of these recently, so hopefully we can keep it going. We’re going big and bold again, so let’s not waste any more time. But before we dive in, don’t forget to check out our free picks on the side and total for every NBA game today.
Cleveland Cavaliers -7.5 (-110)
Miami Heat ML (+160)
Oklahoma City Thunder ML (+150)
Parlay odds: +1141
Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.
Cleveland Cavaliers -7.5 (-110) over New Orleans Pelicans
The Cavs disappointed on Sunday with an embarrassing loss to the Pistons, but I’m going right back to them for the first leg of this mega parlay. Cleveland had 3 consecutive off days before the game on Sunday, and it seems pretty clear that it made them rusty. Right before that they demolished the defending champion Bucks and were 8-2 in their previous 10 games, so I’m really not too concerned.
Now is the time to buy low after the surprising defeat at the hands of Detroit. The Pelicans have lost 3 in a row and each of their past 5 losses has come by at least 10 points, so I’m not worried about laying a spread this large with the Cavs. Cleveland also has the best point differential in the Eastern Conference, so they clearly are capable of covering numbers this big.
Miami Heat ML (+160) over Boston Celtics
I’m fading the Celtics once again for the next leg of this parlay. I don’t get why oddsmakers continue to have such confidence in Boston. They beat the Pelicans in their most recent game, but right before that they lost by 16 to the Hawks and only scored 92 points. Overall the Celtics are 3-3 in their last six. Those three wins came against the Pelicans, Kings and Wizards. Not exactly a murderer’s row.
The other two losses besides the Atlanta one were to the Trail Blazers and Hornets. If you look at their schedule, it’s been a long time since they beat a good team that had all their key players. They’ve been playing a really soft schedule, and have still pretty much just been a .500 team. Miami lost by four points to a pretty good Raptors team their last time out, but right before that had won nine of 11.

Oklahoma City Thunder ML (+150) over Portland Trail Blazers
To wrap up this mega parlay and hopefully bring us home, we’ve got the Oklahoma City Thunder. Famous last words, I know. But OKC has actually been decent at home this year, and they’ve been great at covering numbers in their own building. Their last 2 losses have come by a combined 4 points, and now they’re getting a shorthanded Portland team that has really struggled on the road this year.
The Trail Blazers are a respectable 14-13 at home this season, but their record craters to 7-16 on the highway. Without Damian Lillard, Portland just doesn’t have the juice right now. They’ve been a bit better over the past week or two, but I’m not really buying it. Most of their recent wins have either been by very narrow margins or against bottom-feeding teams.
