We’ve got an interesting NBA Monday slate this week with six games, and we’re looking for a big payday here. That’s right, we’re back with another NBA mega parlay, this time a four-teamer with a payout north of 12/1 where we’re counting on the Jazz to get back on track with another blowout win. We’ve been rolling recently, with a college basketball parlay win at 23/1, and a couple of big NBA same game parlay wins so why not follow it up with even more winners on Monday?
We’re going big and bold, so let’s not waste any more time. We’re diving in, but don’t forget to check out our picks for the side and total on every NBA game.
Houston Rockets -1 (-105)
Dallas Mavericks -5 (-110)
Utah Jazz -12 (-110)
Phoenix Suns -6.5 (-110)
Parlay odds: +1238
Let’s break down each of the four legs one by one.
Houston Rockets -1 (-105)
Now is the time to buy low on the Rockets in the midst of their losing streak. Despite the losses I don’t actually think they’ve been playing that badly, and they lost by only five points on the road against the 76ers in their most recent game. I’m not holding that one too strongly against them. It’s not like the Bulls have looked great recently either, and almost all of their recent wins have come against the league’s weakest teams. Houston has also been significantly better at home this year, which I’m not sure oddsmakers are properly accounting for. Chicago doesn’t play any semblance of defense, so there’s no way I could take them as a pick ’em on the road.
Dallas Mavericks -5 (-110)
The Mavericks were a massive disappointment the first month and a half of the season, but they’ve started to snap out of it lately and play more to their talent level. Hammer them before oddsmakers catch up. Dallas has won four of their last five games, with the only loss coming by just three points against the Trail Blazers. The offense has been incredibly consistent, as they’ve scored at least 116 points in seven straight contests. Memphis on the other hand is only 4-7 in their last 11 games. Things are even worse than that would suggest, as the four wins in that span came against the Pistons, Thunder, Kings, and Hornets. They can’t keep up with the league’s more talented teams.
Utah Jazz -12 (-110)
I don’t see any way that the Jazz don’t win this one in a blowout. Yes, they just fell to the Clippers by four points on the road last time out, but this is still a team that’s won 20 of their last 22 games. Incredibly, 19 of those 20 wins came by double digits, so I really don’t have any qualms about laying a spread this large. They’ve shown a consistent ability to dominate inferior teams, and there’s no reason to expect anything different here. Conversely, most of Charlotte’s recent losses, including each of their last three, have been lopsided. The Hornets’ porous defense doesn’t stand a chance here.
Phoenix Suns -6.5 (-110)
To bring this parlay home we’re rolling with the Suns in one of the late games. Phoenix has been scorching hot recently, winning eight of their last nine games and 11 of their last 13. They’ve been really dominating, with their last three wins coming by an *average* of 22.7 points. Their only recent loss was by just four points to the Nets, and they’ve scored at least 119 in six of seven. Portland just lost to the Wizards in their most recent game and they’ve played a pretty soft schedule recently, so I think this step up in competition on the road will come as a bit of a shock to their system.
