Over 223 Total Points (-110)
The Knicks took both game one and game two in high scoring fashion. Game one saw a total of 238 points and game two had a combined 251 points. Officiating will be under the microscope in game three after Indiana Pacers’ head coach Rick Carlisle submitted a list of what he believed to be 78 missed calls by officials in games one and two. In the four games that the Pacers won in round one against the Milwaukee Bucks, they scored 120 points in each victory.
This game is going to be played in front of a very loud, passionate Pacers’ home crowd. The Pacers’ style all year has been run-and-gun fastbreak and I can’t think of a reason that they are going to stray away from that Friday. OG Anunoby is the latest Knick to go down with an injury. It is beginning to become a concern the depth of the Knicks. If the Pacers’ can keep the tempo high, they may force the Knicks to go deeper into their bench then they are comfortable. I have the Pacers coming out hot in this game in another high scoring game between these two teams.
Pascal Siakam Over 20.5 Points (-122)
Pascal Siakam has largely underperformed in this series so far, scoring just 19 and 14 points in the first two games at Madison Square Garden. That all changes tonight as the Pacers head back home for a do-or-die situation in Game 3. Siakam leads the team in points per game this postseason averaging 20.9 a night, on a really solid 52% from the field. Dating back to his Toronto Raptors days, Siakam is averaging 22.5 points per game in the last 10 meetings vs the Knicks, so we only need him to reach his averages here for our bet to land. No Mitchell Robinson inside the paint and OG Anunoby chasing him around the perimeter should open things up. I think we’re bound for a similar performance from Pascal that we saw in the first 2 games of the Bucks series.
Donte DiVincenzo Over 20.5 Points (-102)
The Knicks are thrilled with the way Dante DiVincenzo has performed over the past 3 games. After opening this postseason with 4 single digit games in 5 outings, the sharpshooter from Villanova has averaged 25 points per game in his last 3 games, while playing a staggering 44, 44 and 48 minutes. With the uncertainty surrounding Jalen Brunson and his leg injury, DiVincenzo might have to take over on offense once again and lead the Knicks in a hostile environment here. He’s had a really solid run vs the Pacers, averaging exactly 25 points per game in the last 5 meetings, with at least 5 threes scored in 3 of those games. Indiana’s lack of defense usually inflates the opposing players’ numbers, we can only hope that is the case tonight with DiVincenzo.
