We’ve got a rematch here between the Pacers and Nets, who actually met over the weekend in Brooklyn when Indiana secured the 125-116 victory. Can the Nets avoid losing their 5th straight game? But for now, let’s get into this Pacers vs Nets matchup.

Indiana Pacers ML over Brooklyn Nets (+275)
When you’re ranked dead last in opponent points per game, allowing 122.2 a night, it’s hard to expect any real results. The Nets are off to a poor start, winning just 1 of their first 6 games, similar to what the Lakers are doing out West. They’ve now lost 4 straight games and after the Pacers game on Saturday, a players-only meeting took place as the Nets look to figure things out. This team has just 1 win in their last 10 games dating back to last season.
Indiana, on the other hand, is looking to win a 3rd straight game tonight, they drained 23 threes on 46 attempts in the win over Brooklyn on Saturday. Myles Turner is also expected back in the lineup which should help their interior presence a bit. The Pacers have covered the spread in 9 of 10 against Brooklyn and are more than capable of beating them, as we saw on Saturday.

Tyrese Haliburton to score 20+ points (-144)
I actually had Haliburton in my last Same Game Parlay winner when he scored 25 points in the win over Washington last Friday. He is the centerpiece of this Pacers offense and everything goes through him. For the season he is averaging 23.4 points per game and 10 assists, with the ball being in his hands for the majority of possessions on offense.
In Saturday’s win over the Nets, he had 26 points and 8 dimes, making the most out of the lazy defensive effort by the Nets. For stretches of that game he was guarded by Kyrie Irving, who is a minus player on defense, and Ben Simmons, who is yet to find his groove on that end of the floor. With the Nets ranking last in defensive rating, I believe Haliburton is set to have another solid output here. He’s averaging 17.6 points per game in 5 career meetings with the Nets and has gone over 20 in 2 of the last 4 games he’s played against them.
Ben Simmons over 7.5 assists (-113)
Although his contribution on offense has been questionable at times this season, Ben Simmons is still getting it done as a point guard and getting his teammates involved. He leads the Nets with 7.2 assists per game and he just had 9 of them in Saturday’s defeat to Indiana. At 6-foot-11 he has the height advantage over most defenders, which makes his life so much easier when distributing the ball. It’s important to note that Brooklyn also got Seth Curry back from a long lay-off due to injury, and that’s one extra shooter Simmons can pass to in the open court.
Indiana hasn’t done a good job at stopping ball movement so far this season as they rank just 25th in the NBA, allowing 27.7 assists per game. I don’t believe there’s any way that Kevin Durant has another 8-for-20 shooting night, so expect Simmons to get KD and a few other Nets some quality looks tonight.
