Three days after breaking the NBA all-time record for three-pointers made, Stephen Curry will be back in action with the Golden State Warriors as they continue their road trip against the Boston Celtics on Friday night. That showdown is part of a double-header on ESPN, which concludes with the Los Angeles Lakers visiting the Minnesota Timberwolves. Overall, we have an 8-game slate in the NBA.

Needless to say, there is more than enough to work with as we formulate today’s mega parlay.

Hawks -4 (-110)

Warriors -9.5 alternate spread (+200)

Lakers ML (+130)

Parlay odds: +1305

For this parlay we are going with one favorite against the spread, one favorite on an alternate spread, and one underdog on the money line. Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.

Hawks -4 (-110)

Denver is trying to hang in there even though most nights it cannot count on much besides the brilliance of center Nikola Jokic. He has been even better than he was a season ago when we won the MVP, including back-to-back-to-back triple-doubles earlier this month. Guard Will Barton is the second option right now, but when this team is healthy he is the 5th. That is what the Nuggets are dealing with at the moment. Atlanta won in Orlando on Wednesday, snapping a 2-game losing streak and evening up its record at 14-14. The Hawks are fourth in the NBA in scoring and should be able to take advantage of a shorthanded opponent. This is a tough spot for Denver, as Hawks center Clint Capela is mobile enough to make Jokic work and most of the rest of the spots on the floor are advantages for Atlanta.

Warriors -9.5 alternate spread (+200)

Fresh off Curry’s record-breaking performance in Madison Square Garden, Golden State is off to Boston looking to add to its 9-3 road record. As good as Curry has been, it has been those around him that has made the Warriors special this season. The roles defined for everyone else by head coach Steve Kerr and their ability to play to them is why this team is succeeding at such a high level. On the other side, Boston beat Milwaukee in their last game. Jayson Tatum is the alpha on Boston, but he can be knocked off his game every now and then and a defender like Draymond Green is well-suited to doing just that. Golden State has played like the best team in the league, while Boston has been a consistent disappointment this season.

Lakers ML over Timberwolves (+130)

LeBron James and company are starting to heat up at just the right time — before they get too far behind in the standings. They have won 3 in a row and 6 of their last 8. LeBron has scored 30 or more points in 3 of his last 5 games and is playing on a level we might not have ever seen for a player at his age. He is getting a lot of help from Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook, but Westbrook and a handful other players are in the health and safety protocols. So the Lakers will have to improvise here and look for other options. The good news ahead of tonight’s game is that they are 4-1 ATS in their last five vs Minnesota. Minnesota has been far from convincing lately; it has won just 2 of its last 7 games. The ‘Wolves did beat the Nuggets by 17 points with Anthony Edwards having a career night to the tune of 38 points and 10 three-pointers earlier this week. As good as Edwards has been, it’s hard to see him doing that again here against the Lakers.
