We have a 7-game slate in the somewhat new-look NBA on Friday in the aftermath of Thursday’s trade-deadline festivities. Denver vs Boston headlines the action on NBA TV, while Charlotte, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Chicago, and Utah are also in action.

Let’s take a look at today’s three-team mega parlay.

Hornets -9.5 alternate spread (+125)

Nuggets ML (+190)

Bulls -3 (-110)

Parlay odds: +1146

For this parlay we are going with two favorites against the spread – one on an alternate number – and one underdog on the money line. Let’s break down the three legs one by one.

Hornets -9.5 alternate spread over Pistons (+125)

Charlotte is 2nd in the NBA in scoring but is skidding at the moment. Fortunately for the Hornets, they get to play the Pistons on Friday. The discrepancy in talent is simply vast. Charlotte boasts the likes of Miles Bridges and LaMelo Ball, plus the pickup of Montrezl Harrell from Washington gives the team more physicality inside. The Pistons shuffled their deck a little with a trade at the deadline, acquiring Marvin Bagley from Sacramento. Bagley has been a disappointment since being selected 2nd overall. Detroit has lost its last 6 games and top pick Cade Cunningham is questionable with a hip injury. With this season about development, there is no reason to push him. This should be an absolute beatdown as the Hornets look to get back on track.

Nuggets ML over Celtics (+190)

Denver has won 7 of its last 10 games and since January 23 ranks 3rd in the NBA in Net Rating, having outscored opponents by 8.3 points per 100 possessions. This stretch of action includes notable victories against the Nets, Pelicans, and Bucks. Tonight the Nuggets will continue to be without Michael Porter Jr., Monte Morris, and Jamal Murray, but they have no new notable injuries to report. Boston has won 8 of its last 9 games, with the lone loss coming to the Hawks. It is worth noting that even the seemingly impressive victories during this stretch have come against the Heat without Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry, and the Nets without Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving. Denver is more than capable of pulling off an upset.

Bulls -3 over Timberwolves (-110)

The Timberwolves had a 5-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday, losing to the Kings on the road. Now they head to Chicago to take on the Bulls. Although the ‘Wolves have been playing solid basketball, there are too many injuries and question marks surrounding their lineup leading into tonight’s game, which may ultimately cost them against a talented Bulls roster. The Timberwolves have listed several important players on the injury report, with Patrick Beverley, Anthony Edwards, Josh Okogie, Taurean Prince, Naz Reid, and D’Angelo Russell all listed as questionable. Although Chicago also remains shorthanded without Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso, it still has an extremely talented lineup featuring DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Nikola Vucevic. The Bulls rank 7th in points per game and 4th in offensive rating, and DeRozan has been particularly dominant, posting at least 30 points in their past 4 games.
