Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The Phoenix Suns are off to a great start this season yet they still find themselves behind the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference. With the Boston Celtics in town without one of their star players in Jaylen Brown, the pressure is on the Suns to win and keep in touch with the leagues pace setters.

You can find our full game previews here, but now let’s take a look at my same game parlay for the game in Phoenix.

Phoenix Suns -4 (-110)

Deandre Ayton over 19.5 points (+176)

Chris Paul over 9.5 assists (-134)

Parlay odds: +672

Phoenix Suns -4 (-110)

In this matchup, the Suns are far better equipped to handle the absence of their best player Devin Booker. Playing at home, role players such as Cameron Payne, Cameron Johnson, and Jae Crowder should shoot the ball well. Phoenix remains the more disciplined team on the defensive end of the floor too. The Celtics will also be without Brown, with his presence on both sides of the ball being missed by the team. Take the Suns.

Deandre Ayton over 19.5 points (+176)

In the last 4 games Deandre Ayton has shown promising form, recording 20 or more points on 2 separate occasions. Both of those games came against the Warriors who normally do not have a traditional center on the floor. They only use Kevon Looney for around 15 minutes a night with Draymond Green sliding into the slot most of the time. The Celtics are similar in that sense. Robert Williams III is the teams starting center but at times struggles to get more than 20 minutes of playing time. Al Horford does slide over to the position, but he is slightly undersized. As a result, I expect Ayton to pick up right where he left off and to keep being a bully in the paint tonight.

Chris Paul over 9.5 assists (-134)

Chris Paul has been phenomenal for the Suns this season, with the veteran point guards playmaking abilities being on full display night in night out. Over the last 11 games he has failed to record double digit assists on just 3 occasions and seems likely to keep that run going here. As mentioned, Ayton has a favorable matchup on the inside so Paul could rack up assists here by constantly looking for his big man at the rim. On top of that the Celtics do have good defenders at the point guard position, with Marcus Smart and Dennis Schroeder occupying the spots. Therefore I expect Paul to look to dish the ball to his teammates more tonight, being less aggressive in looking for his own shots. As a result, the over on the assists looks like the bet to make here.
