The Brooklyn Nets will look to end a 6-game losing streak as they travel to Salt Lake City to take on a Utah Jazz team that has only picked up 1 win in their last 6 games. I’ve gone in-depth with this game and came up with my 3 favorite bets which I’ve put together to form a same game parlay.

Continue reading to see my bet, but also check out our predictions on the side and total for the rest of Friday’s 9-game slate, including the Philadelphia 76ers vs Dallas Mavericks matchup on ESPN!

Let’s dive in.

Brooklyn Nets ML (+184)

Kyrie Irving to score 30+ points (+240)

Patty Mills to record 4+ assists (+420)

Parlay odds: +3123

Brooklyn Nets ML (+184)

This might be the Nets’ best chance of winning in a while as they take on a Utah Jazz team riddled with injuries and inconsistency lately. Rudy Gobert will not play due to a calf injury, Jordan Clarkson is questionable with a knee issue and they just lost Joe Ingles for the entire season as he injured his ACL in the loss at Minnesota. Donovan Mitchell is expected to return but he’s missed more than 2 weeks of action, so he won’t be at 100% either. The Nets will be without Kevin Durant, but they still have 2 superstars in Kyrie Irving and James Harden. The Beard was just named to the All-Star team as a reserve — it’s time for him to step up and show us why he’s there.

Kyrie Irving to score 30+ points (+240)

Without Gobert to worry about on the inside, I think Irving could be in for a big night here. He’s averaging 26.1 points per game over his last 7 while shooting 49% from the field and almost 39% from three-point land. He’s also scored 30 or more points in 3 of his last 6 games overall, plus against the Jazz in head-to-head meetings over his last 6 games he has scored 29, 32, 27, 20 and 33 points. Utah losing Ingles is another thing working in our favor here, they are now down to Mike Conley, a sub-par defender in Bojan Bogdanovic, and a returning Mitchell to match up with Irving and Harden. I think that’s definitely something Irving can take advantage of.

Patty Mills to record 4+ assists (+420)

With Kyrie focused more on scoring, I think Mills will have more point guard responsibilities in this one than he normally does. Although he only averages 2.6 assists per game for the season, over his last 4 games he has had 4 or more assists twice. Against the Nuggets he had 6 of them and he followed it up with 4 against the Warriors, both teams that are better at defending opposing point guards than the Jazz are. Over their last 3 games, the Jazz have allowed opponents 28.7 assists per game, which is an increase of 5.5 per game compared to their season average. Conley having his hands full trying to stop Kyrie will also benefit Mills, so getting these odds for just 4 dimes from your starting point guard is worth a bet in my opinion.
