The Miami Heat are on a slide. They have dropped 3 straight games, which included an embarrassing defeat to the Washington Wizards. Things are not going to get much easier tonight as they welcome a Denver Nuggets team that is 2nd in the Western Conference. Nikola Jokic is in terrific form for the visitors and will be looking to tighten his grip on the MVP trophy with another big performance tonight. You can check out all of our NBA picks for today’s games, but for now, let’s jump into my Nuggets vs Heat Same Game Parlay.

Denver Nuggets -4.5 over Miami Heat (-108)
These teams played at the end of February with the Denver Nuggets coming out as 6-point winners. With Tyler Herro remaining out for the hosts, they could have issues changing the outcome tonight. The Heat have lost 3 straight games, and their home form has been very similar to their play on the road. The Nuggets on the other hand have the best form in the NBA over the last 10 games. During that stretch, they are 3rd in the league in net offensive and defensive rating. The visitors should be motivated too. They are involved in a tight race for the top spot in the conference, with 3 teams separated by half a game. With no injury concerns of their own, I expect the Nuggets to cover the spread tonight.

Bam Adebayo to score 20+ points (-110)
The Miami Heat will have to try to slow down Nikola Jokic. A good place to start would be by making him work on the defensive end. Adebayo did exactly that in the last meeting between the teams, scoring 22 points. Considering that he is averaging 19.9 points on the season, it would not be a surprise to see him surpass that once more tonight. The Nuggets are not a great team at defending the paint, an area where Bam thrives. The visitors are 26th in opponent points in the paint over the last 10 games. The Heat center attempted 18 shots in the last meeting between the teams. In every game this season with at least that many attempts, he scored at least 20 points. I expect a similar outcome here.

Michael Porter Jr. to score 20+ points (+175)
Over the last 6 games, Michael Porter Jr. has managed to score at least 20 points on 3 occasions. On 2 others, he hit 19 points, one of which was in just 22 minutes in a blowout win. The Knicks have terrific defenders on the inside in Adebayo and at point in Terry Rozier. Porter Jr. is likely to get opportunities to go at Duncan Robinson tonight, which should set him up for a high-scoring night. He has gotten off to a hot start this month too. He is currently making 59.4% of his field-goal attempts and 46.9% of his shots from deep. Considering that level of efficiency, I expect him to be one of the main players Jokic and the Nuggets seek out on offense. The Heat have just given up a 32-point night to Kyle Kuzma and it would not be a surprise to see Porter Jr follow in his footsteps. Especially considering he dropped 30 the last time the sides met.
