Game 1 between the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Clippers was not entirely competitive. While the scoreboard might suggest it was only a 12-point game, the Mavericks never led in the contest. The hosts had their lead up to 29 points at one point. The beauty of the playoffs however is that it is a fresh slate for Game 2, which will give the visiting Mavericks a great chance to punch back. You can check out all of our NBA picks for today’s games, but for now let’s jump into my Game 2 Mavericks vs Clippers Same Game Parlay picks.

Ivica Zubac over 13.5 points (+102)
Ivica Zubac had a playoff career-high of 20 points in Game 1 of the series. There is nothing to suggest he cannot put together another good scoring night tonight. He is simply too big for Daniel Gafford in the post, and had continuous success in backing him down in the post, finishing over him with hook shots. While Gafford’s replacement in Dereck Lively II fared slightly better, both Maverick big men are keen shot blockers. That leaves Zubac to feast on the offensive boards. Zubac was +15 when on the floor, the best mark on the Clippers. He showed an impressive ability to stay in front of Luka Doncic on switches which should help ensure he is able to stay on the floor in this one too. Considering his dominance in the paint, I think the Clippers will look his way for offense tonight as well.

P.J. Washington over 1.5 made threes (-170)
P.J. Washington gets used as a floor spacer on this team, which was evident in Game 1 where he was second on the team in 3-pointers attempted. He was able to knock down 2 of his 7 shots. He finished the last 10 games of the Mavericks season making 37.7% of his attempts from beyond the arc. If he gets close to a similar number of shots tonight, expect him to knock down a couple at a minimum. He has done so in 7 of his last 9 games. The Clippers finished 15th in the regular season in opponent 3-point attempts per game, so they do not aggressively deny them those shots. Their focus will be to keep Kyrie Irving and Doncic from going off, so look for them to give up looks to the likes of Washington and make him beat them.

Luka Doncic over 9.5 assists (+104)
While Luka Doncic finished with just 6 assists in Game 1, it was not for the lack of trying. The Mavericks simply did not make shots, especially in the first half where they finished with just 30 points. No one outside of Irving or Doncic made over 40% of their field-goal attempts. As a team, they also made just 30.3% of their 3-pointers. They finished the season 13th in 3-point percentage and 9th in true shooting percentage. Game 1 was simply an off night. If they come out like they did in the second half, where they scored 67 points, Doncic would have a great chance of racking up assists. Part of their success in that half was pushing the tempo and getting out in transition. Doncic is one of the best outlet passers in the league and should be able to pad his stats this way tonight.
