We head into the NBA weekend with a 6-game slate this Saturday, with the biggest matchup saved for last in LA between the Clippers and Mavericks. Fresh off their win over the Lakers, the Mavs will look to win the third straight meeting between the teams. Tip-off is at 10:30 pm ET and after a thorough analysis I’ve prepared a tasty Same Game Parlay, which is available below.
We have picks for all today’s games in our NBA predictions, but now let’s get into my SGP bet:
Luka Doncic to score 40+ points (+320)

Luka Doncic to score 40+ points (+320)
No team in the NBA has suffered more when facing Luka Doncic than the LA Clippers in recent years. Although his scoring has been off a little bit lately with him shooting around 35% in 4 of his last 5 games, I feel like a breakout performance is coming. Just 2 weeks ago Doncic put up 44 points on an unreal 17-for-21 shooting against the Clippers, and that was the 4th time in 6 meetings he had gone over 40 points.
If we expand our search to the last 15 meetings, Doncic is putting up 37.7 points, 8.8 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game. Those are video-game numbers and with the Clippers playing on the second night of a back-to-back, they could be in trouble again. The Mavs just beat the Lakers at Crypto.com Arena, so there won’t be any travel in between games for them and that means they’ll have the upper hand rest-wise. I expect Luka to come out blazing hot in this one.
Grant Williams over 1.5 made threes (-184)
Grant Williams has been one of the more consistent Mavericks this season, shooting a really high 45% from 3-point land. When you’re playing alongside offensive juggernauts Kyrie Irving and Doncic, your numbers will naturally go up, but I don’t think anyone expected what Williams is doing right now before the season started. He has cleared this line 4 times in the last 5 games, while in November he has failed to do so in only 3 of 12 games.
LA has done a solid job at defending the perimeter this season, but as a team the Mavericks lead the NBA with the most threes made per game at 16.7. They’ll have their hands full trying to slow down Luka and Kyrie, so I expect Williams to deliver his usual 2 threes per game.
