Both the Cavaliers and 76ers suffered losses in their first game after the all-star break, so tonight’s game is a good opportunity for both teams to bounce back as they clash for the 3rd time this season. I’ve prepared a Cavaliers vs 76ers Same Game Parlay to make things a bit more interesting, and you can also find out our NBA picks for the rest of today’s big games. We returned from the all-star break with a bang last night, as we cashed our Suns vs Mavericks Same Game Parlay at +544 odds. Let’s make it 2 in 2 nights here!

Cavaliers -3.5 (-108)

Tyrese Maxey to score 30+ points (+195)

Same Game Parlay odds: +454

Cleveland Cavaliers -3.5 over Philadelphia 76ers (-108)

Donovan Mitchell is dealing with an illness right now, so we’re not sure if he’s coming back in time for tonight’s game in Philadelphia. Despite his absence, the Cavs enter the game as 3.5-point favorites after losing last night to Orlando at home. Offensively they played a solid game, with all 5 starters scoring in double figures and shooting over 50% as a unit. The 76ers are just the opponent Cleveland needs right now, where they can score easily against them and get back on track.

Philadelphia’s injury issues are getting worse by the day. Last night they suffered a tough 110-96 loss to New York and Tyrese Maxey was the only reliable scoring option with 35 points. Carrying an entire franchise on your back is no easy task and Maxey is learning that the hard way. There’s still no timetable set for Joel Embiid’s return and the Sixers are fighting hard to stay afloat without their MVP. Philadelphia is just 3-10 in their last 13 games and have failed to cover in 7 straight at Wells Fargo Center. I’m taking the Cavaliers to cover as road favorites.

Tyrese Maxey to score 30+ points (+195)

Maxey was the only bright spot in last night’s defeat to New York, as he torched the Knicks for 35 points and scored more than 33% of the 76ers’ total points. Being the number one scoring option has its advantages – one of them is that Maxey can take as many shots as he wants, even when he’s shooting under 50% from the field. He’s averaging almost 26 points per game in his last 7, while against the Cavs he’s at 25 per game in the 3 most recent meetings. Cleveland has slipped a little when it comes to perimeter defense, allowing opponents to shoot 46.4% from downtown in their last 3 games — only the Jazz have a lower mark than that during this stretch in the entire NBA. I’m hoping Maxey can take advantage of that and put up plenty of points to keep Philadelphia somewhat competitive.
