The weekend is almost here and it’s an action-packed Friday night with a 9-game slate coming our way. We also have a ESPN doubleheader starting with the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics at 7.30 pm ET. I’ve prepared a Same Game Parlay for that game.

We’ve covered Friday’s 9-game slate in depth and will have NBA predictions for every matchup. Let’s dive into my SGP now!

Over 226 points (-110)

Jrue Holiday over 1.5 made threes (-118)

Kristaps Porzingis over 7.5 rebounds (-146)

Same Game Parlay odds: +462

Over 226 points (-110)

Both of these teams have fallen in love with the over early in the season. The Nets have cashed on this bet in 5 of their 8 games, while the Celtics have done so in 5 of their last 6. Three-point shooting has played a big factor in that for the Nets, who rank 5th in the NBA making 38.5% of their attempts from deep. Boston’s shooting from distance at home is the best in the NBA at 48.6%, however that’s from a small sample size of 2 games.

Still, I expect both teams to deliver offensively here, an average of 223.1 points per game has been scored in the last 10 meetings. The game played between them on Saturday night in Brooklyn produced 238 points, and with the teams ranking 6th and 10th in offensive rating I think they’ll have enough to push us over the total.

Jrue Holiday over 1.5 made threes (-118)

Jrue Holiday has been a model citizen in his short stint with the Celtics. He’s putting up 13.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game, while also giving his team a new dimension on the defensive end. His best scoring game came against the Brooklyn Nets, when he had 18 points on 6-for-15 shooting. He drained 4 threes in that game on 9 attempts, and in November he’s making 2.3 threes per game on 45% efficiency.

He’s been in a good groove lately, clearing this line in 3 of his last 4 games, the Nets are a fairly mediocre team on the road when it comes to defending the 3-ball as teams are making 35.3% of their attempts against them. In Saturday’s win over Brooklyn, the Celtics attempted 45 threes, if that’s the case tonight again, Holiday should be able to make at least 2 shots. He’s done it in 3 of his last 4 against them.

Friday’s NBA mega parlay has +1868 odds

Kristaps Porzingis over 7.5 rebounds (-146)

Another player who had his way with the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday was Kristaps Porzingis, who finished with 22 points and 7 rebounds in a modest 30 minutes of action. He’s been dominant against this team over the last 5 meetings, averaging 24.2 points and 8.8 rebounds, he even had a 19-rebound performance against them in 2022 when he was with the Wizards.

Boston has relied heavily on Tatum and Holiday for rebounding early in the season, but I am expecting Porzingis to start asserting himself on the glass as soon as tonight’s game. Brooklyn has a few key players out, including center Nic Claxton which should make the Latvian’s work on the boards easier. In their last 3 games the Nets have allowed an average of 58.7 rebounds per game, which is the 3rd-worst mark in the league during that stretch.
