Clevta’s New England Patriots vs Arizona Cardinals best bet: Patriots -1 (-110)
This is a tough game to handicap but with all things being equal, I will back Bill Belichick with a few extra days to prepare against Kliff Kingsbury. Historically the Patriots have struggled against mobile QBs so there is definitely pause here with the Pats against Kyler Murray. Arizona will have both Hollywood Brown at Deandre Hopkins on the field for just the 2nd time this season and creates problems for defenses. The Patriots defense will get pressure on Kyler and ranks 2nd in the NFL in pressure rate. Kyler always takes pressure since he holds onto the ball a lot and is just 28th in PFF grade against pressure.
With the Cardinals virtually eliminated from playoff contention and as they headed into the bye off a last second brutal loss to the Chargers, I would like to also fade that combination off of a late season bye week. How much focus did they have this week after a week 13 bye after that loss?

On offense, I do like Mac Jones in a dome environment similar to the Vikings game on Thanksgiving, to play well and take more shots down the field. This matchup is very favorable for the Patriots as they have their great OL and run game going up against a Cardinals run defense that ranks 26th in success rate and dead last in explosive runs allowed. Jones also likes to throw to his RBs and TEs and the Cards rank 23rd in target share allowed to RBs and 26th to TEs. Expect Rhamondre Stevenson and Hunter Henry to both see plenty of targets.
