While Baker Mayfield was able to guide the Rams to an unlikely comeback last week, that is unlikely to be repeated here. Even with the Packers struggling, Lambeau Field is always a tough place to go to, especially in the middle of winter in front of a raucous Green Bay crowd. The Packers have been up and down this season but have shown some glimmers of hope, especially with young receiver Christian Watson. Expect the Packers to have too much for the reigning Super Bowl champions.

Rams vs Packers point spread pick: Packers -7 (-110)
Much like the Los Angeles Rams, the Green Bay Packers haven’t lived up to their preseason expectations, and they must win out to have a chance at making the playoffs in a weak NFC. Green Bay kept its postseason hopes alive with a 28-19 victory against the Chicago Bears two weeks ago and now enter Monday Night Football with over two weeks of rest, which should be an advantage here. This time to prepare should help their offense get right, and we predict that they will be able to move the ball against the Los Angeles secondary.
The Rams allow just 101.9 rushing yards per game (5th in the NFL), but they give up 228.6 passing yards per contest (21st in the NFL). And while Aaron Rodgers hasn’t looked like his typical self, the veteran Packers QB should be able to perform better off the bye. Earlier this week, Rodgers said that his thumb and ribs were both feeling good after the bye, and we think he can keep the Packers’ postseason hopes alive with a vintage effort at home against the Rams.
Baker Mayfield’s first win as a Ram was a great story, but this team has still lost 6 of their last 7 games and holds a 2-8 record since their 2-1 start. The Packers need this win to stay alive for the Wild Card, so target Green Bay to win this one by at least a touchdown.

Rams vs Packers Over/Under totals pick: Under 39.5 (-110)
The market has been moving in the direction of an under all week, and for good reason. The Rams were trailing the Raiders for most of last Thursday’s contest and had only posted 3 points for most of the game. However, Mayfield put together a pair of two-minute touchdown drives in the fourth quarter that helped the Rams come back and win.
Although it was great to see the former #1 pick excel in a new environment, this may have inflated this week’s total a bit. I don’t foresee him replicating that performance in Green Bay against a defense that has shown an ability to contain mediocre quarterbacks. On the other side, while the Packers offense does have multiple weeks to prepare, this Rams secondary is still solid enough to contain Christian Watson and this Green Bay passing game. Look for another low-scoring game in Lambeau.
