The 2021 MLB season kicked off over a month and a half ago now, and the action has been jam-packed. Why not celebrate the new week by going for a big payday on Monday? That’s right, we’re back with another MLB mega parlay as we wrap up the weekend, this time a three-teamer with a payout just north of 15/1, where we’re counting on the Padres to win big.

We’ve been cashing these left and right. We cashed our MLB mega parlay on Wednesday at +1488 odds and also cashed our MLB mega parlay the Wednesday before at +1618 odds. Let’s do it again here on Monday.

We’re going big and bold, so let’s not waste any more time. We’re diving in, but don’t forget to check out our picks for the side and total on every MLB game, with our team of experts in red-hot form to start the season.

Cleveland Indians -1.5 (+185)

San Diego Padres -1.5 (+180)

Oakland Athletics -1.5 (+125)

Parlay odds: +1696

Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.

Cleveland Indians -1.5 (+185)

The Tigers had a brief resurgence, but I think that’s over now. This is a team that started 9-24 for a reason. They’ve now lost back-to-back games to the Royals, halting all their momentum. Cleveland has won their last four meetings with Detroit, with each of those wins coming by at least three runs. Even after their recent hot stretch, the Tigers are still 26th in the league in OPS. The gap in bullpens here couldn’t be any wider.

Detroit’s unit has the single worst ERA in the league at 5.84, while Cleveland’s is second-best at 2.64. If the Indians aren’t able to get to Spencer Turnbull, they could blow things open once he leaves the game. I’m fading Turnbull as he comes off his no-hitter against the Mariners’ pitiful lineup. Pitchers often struggle in the outings after no-hitters, and I’m expecting that to be the case with Turnbull, who was thoroughly mediocre in 2019 and 2020.

San Diego Padres -1.5 (+180)

It would be hard not to back the Padres right now. San Diego is on fire offensively, as the return of Fernando Tatis Jr to the lineup has lit a spark. The Padres didn’t just sweep the Mariners over the weekend, they dominated them. They won the three games by a combined score of 31-7. They’ve got a really high offensive ceiling, which is what I’m looking for when backing a team on the run line.

San Diego will start Blake Snell, the former Cy Young winner who is coming off a start where he gave up only one run in six innings while striking out 11. Brewers starter Brandon Woodruff has been fantastic, but now is the time to sell high since he’s never been anywhere near this good in his career before 2021. Against a red-hot Padres lineup, this should be where he comes down to earth. Even after winning their last two against the Reds, the Brewers are still just 3-6 in their last nine.

Oakland Athletics -1.5 (+125)

To wrap this mega parlay up and hopefully bring us the home we’ve got Oakland. This is more a fade of the Mariners than anything else. Seattle’s lineup is approaching historically poor levels. They easily have the worst OPS and batting average in MLB, and are somehow hitting .198 as a team. The next worst squad has a team average of .212.

Given the state of their offense, we likely won’t need too many runs from the A’s to cash this, but we should get plenty. The Mariners are starting Yusei Kikuchi, who has been consistently awful since coming over from Japan in 2019. In 49 career big league starts, he has a 5.18 ERA. He’s given up at least three earned runs in six of his eight starts this season.
