Boston has won 6 games in a row and is 5-1 at home this season, so this is not looking like a great spot overall for the Thunder. The Celtics have also covered in 4 of their last 5, so even though they are considered the favorite to win the title this year they are still exceeding expectations.
If there is one team that is designed to shut down a team with just one wing scorer like the Thunder, it is Boston. They have 4-5 defenders they can run at Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, so they can put a fresh guy on him all night without sacrificing any offense. For that reason, backing the Celtics will be the play tonight.

College Basketball pick today: Louisiana Tech Bulldogs vs Texas Tech Red Raiders – Under 134.5 points (-110), 8:00 pm ET
We know that Texas Tech’s defense is going to be elite again this season and it is certainly off to a great start. The Red Raiders have held their first 2 opponents to just 49 and 54 points. It’s likely we will see another impressive performance against Louisiana Tech, as not only do the Bulldogs have a new head coach but they will also need to adjust to life without Kenneth Lofton. For that reason, expect to see a defensive battle — making the under worth a bet tonight.

NFL pick today: Washington Commanders +10.5 over Philadelphia Eagles (-105), 8:15 pm ET
Washington quarterback Taylor Heinecke is 11-8 ATS in his career as a starter, including 3-0 this season — so he has shown the ability to keep games close as an underdog. NHL pick today: Colorado Avalanche -1.5 over St. Louis Blues (+125), 9:05 pm ET
The Blues travel to Colorado to take on the Avalanche for the first time this season. It has been an up-and-down season for St. Louis, starting the season 3-0 only to lose the next 8 in a row. They Blues have won their last 2 games, but that doesn’t inspire any confidence. Colorado, on the other hand, have been exactly as advertised. The Avs are scorning goals and doing it with conviction. They have also won 4 in a row and are looking to continue that streak.
St. Louis is last in the league in goals per game and 29th in goals against. The Blues also have to travel to Colorado for this matchup, making it extremely unlikely that they can win this game. The Avalanche are the better team on paper in every way and should be able to win by more than just one goal.
