EPL pick today: Everton +0.5 over Liverpool (+125), 3:00 pm ET

Sean Dyche could not have asked for a better start to life as Everton manager, having overseen a 1-0 win against EPL leaders Arsenal in his first game in charge last Saturday, and the Toffees should have renewed confidence ahead of this afternoon’s Merseyside Derby against Liverpool.

Meanwhile, after finishing a point off 1st place in the Premier League last season, Liverpool is having a campaign to forget. The Reds are locked in mid-table obscurity and endured one of their lowest points of the season last time out in an embarrassing 3-0 loss at Wolves, meaning the Reds have lost 3 straight EPL road games for the first time since 2012. Liverpool beat Everton at home and away last season but their September meeting finished goalless at Goodison Park and the Toffees should again feel confident of taking at least a point off the Reds at Anfield.

NBA pick today: New York Knicks -2.5 over Brooklyn Nets (-110), 7:40 pm ET

The New York Knicks have been on a surge lately winning 4 of their last 6 games and covering the spread in 5 of their last 7 vs Eastern Conference opponents. With 3 players averaging over 20 points per game, the Knicks are proving to be one of the more difficult teams to stop on offense. Opponents just don’t know where the danger is coming from, as they have so many reliable options out there. Their only issues coming into tonight’s game will be the absence of Mitchell Robinson which leaves a huge gap in the middle of the paint, but that wasn’t an issue in 3 of their last 4 games.

The Nets have won 2 meetings vs the Knicks already this season, but they had Kevin Durant in one and Kyrie Irving in the other. Without those two, this is just a .500 team now, therefore backing the Knicks will be the play.

NHL pick today: Minnesota Wild ML over Florida Panthers (-115), 8:07 pm ET

The Minnesota Wild are in a playoff spot now with a record of 28-20-4 and currently are 3rd in the Central Division. They have been great on the defensive side of the puck this season ranking 10th in the league with 152 goals against. The Wild also have a young superstar on their hands with Matt Boldy who has 37 points in 52 games this season. With Marc-Andre Fleury between the pipes, expect the Wild to be a legitimate threat throughout the season and back the Wild at home tonight.

College Basketball pick today: Texas Longhorns -4.5 over Texas Tech Red Raiders (-110), 9:00 pm ET

The Texas Longhorns will travel to Lubbock tonight for a Big 12 Conference showdown against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The Longhorns have lost just five games this season which have all come to top 22 KenPom teams. According to KenPom, Texas’s defense is ranked #27 in adjusted efficiency while Texas Tech’s offense is ranked #83 in adjusted efficiency. Texas Tech will turn over the ball at a high rate as they have all season long. They are ranked #291 in offensive turnover percentage and have had over 15 turnovers in their past two games. Texas is ranked #27 nationally in defensive turnover percentage, therefore backing the Longhorns to cover  will be the play.
