NHL pick today: Montreal Canadiens vs Buffalo Sabres – Over 7 goals (-110), 7:00 pm ET
Since the start of February, the Sabres have allowed the absolute most goals per game. Being a worse defensive team than the Anaheim Ducks is not a good place to be. When these teams last met, Buffalo torched Montreal 7-2. That helps prove that we won’t need much from the Canadiens to still get over the total, which provides much better value than taking the Sabres on the money line, while also not having to trust them to win by multiple goals.

NBA pick today: Dallas Mavericks -1 over Indiana Pacers (-110), 7:00 pm ET
Luka Doncic incurred his 16th technical foul of the season on Sunday and therefore will be suspended for tonight’s game. The Pacers however, have lost 4 of their last 5, have not won at home since March 9 and have not won at home in regulation since February 15. Kyrie Irving often goes crazy when he is the best player on the floor and that is exactly what he will be without Doncic in action. For that reason, backing the Mavericks will be our best bet.

NHL pick today: New Jersey Devils vs New York Islanders – Over 6 goals (-115), 7:37 pm ET
Strong offensive performances have been more consistent for these teams lately. That is no surprise for the Devils as they have been a top producing team in the NHL all season. But production has not been a strength of the Islanders this year. They rank 22nd in the NHL in goals scored per game, and have largely relied on strong goal prevention to carry them to a playoff spot. The Islanders hope to have found an offensive groove here as they have scored 4+ goals in 4 out of their last 5 games. If they can hold to their recent averages, the over will have a good look.

NHL pick today: Colorado Avalanche -1.5 over Anaheim Ducks (-105), 10:37 pm ET
Due largely to injuries, Colorado has not had a “great” season per se. But to the surprise of likely no one, they are still in the thick of the race to win the Central division. The Avs are clicking at the right time as they are 8-2-0 in their last 10 games entering Saturday. They won the 8 games by a combined 24 goals for an average win by 3 goals. Lately, when the Avalanche win, they pour it on and win big. Considering the very favorable matchup they have in this one, backing the Avalanche to win comfortably will be the play.
