College Football: UConn Huskies +12 vs Marshall Thundering Herd (-110), 2:30 pm ET

These two teams both enter this bowl game playing some of their best football of the season. And while UConn has concerning metrics relating to its passing offense, that’s not what the Huskies want to do on a consistent basis. The Huskies’ strong rushing attack will be relied upon early and often to keep the chains moving and keep them within striking distance. UConn is still a decent defense, which should see success against a Marshall offense that can be turnover prone and is outside the top 100 in EPA per play and passing success rate. At the end of the day, UConn is 9-3 against the spread, therefore backing the Huskies to cover will be the play.

NBA pick today: Milwaukee Bucks -1 over New Orleans Pelicans (-110), 8:10 pm ET

Milwaukee has regained the top seed in the Eastern Conference after going 6-2 in their last 8 games, including a dominant 26-point win over the Utah Jazz on Saturday night with both Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo sidelined with injuries. Meanwhile, the Pelicans have hit their first bump in the road this season and are now the 2-seed in the Western Conference after dropping 3 straight games on the road.

Possibly the biggest news for the Bucks is the return of Joe Ingles, who’s slated to make his season debut tonight after undergoing surgery to repair a torn left ACL from last season. Despite the Pelicans being great at home, the Bucks are the healthier team coming into this game and some minutes from Ingles elevates this team even higher. For that reason, backing the Bucks will be the play.

NFL pick today: Green Bay Packers -7.5 over Los Angeles Rams (-110), 8:15 pm ET

Much like the Los Angeles Rams, the Green Bay Packers haven’t lived up to their preseason expectations, and they must win out to have a chance at making the playoffs in a weak NFC. Green Bay kept its postseason hopes alive with a 28-19 victory against the Chicago Bears two weeks ago and now enter Monday Night Football with over two weeks of rest, which should be an advantage here.

Baker Mayfield’s first win as a Ram was a great story, but this team has still lost 6 of their last 7 games and holds a 2-8 record since their 2-1 start. The Packers need this win to stay alive for the Wild Card, so target Green Bay to win this one and cover.

NHL pick today: Vegas Golden Knights 3-Way ML over Buffalo Sabres (-105), 10:07 pm ET

The Sabres are going to have their hands full, to say the least; and they likely don’t have much of a chance of squeaking out a win. Vegas has been a top-10 defensive team all year, so it should be able to contain Buffalo’s offense. At the other end of the ice, Vegas should be able to exploit a bottom-10 Sabres defense by letting its stars and great all-around depth go to work. For that reason, backing the Golden Knights  Vegas to win in regulation will be the play.
